I upgraded my Dymp printer to a 450 Turbo and bought the Dymo scale specifically because it was advertised to work with the free Dymo Stamps application. Everything worked fine until June 2013. Now I'm forced to either pay a monthly fee or purchase higher priced labels. This is a clear case of bait and switch. Or at the very least, false and misleading advertising. Quite unfair, if not illegal.
I paid extra for an otherwise unneeded higher priced printer model and scale. This is a clear case of bait and switch. Or at the very least, false and misleading advertising. Quite unfair, if not illegal.

And I have to add that I have 1400 stamp labels that apparently are fine to use if I have a paid account but 'Defective" if I don't.

I have 1400 "off brand" stamps that remain from my purchase in 2011. They offered to let me use 100.

Still a ripoff...

Hard to believe you didn't know you're ripping off the system.  It IS action like yours that ruin it for the rest of us...get a life.

And NO, I don't work for them or any of the other companies I've been accused of working for...just someone that knows a wrong when he sees it.

The free account applies ONLY to genuine dymo labels...

IF that's what you have, you will be instructed to send a copy of the back of the label rolls.

It they are NOT DYMO rolls and you are purchasing a ripoff copy, the service is NOT free.

It sounds like you were trying to game the system and get the free service (which is subsidized by the purchase of the Dymo rolls) instead of using the rolls that you should have been using all along.

People that cheat the system make it difficult for us "Legal" users to maintain the "Free" monthly service.

My suspicion is, YOU are one of the people causing the new rule to verify the use of the required brand of labels.

Don't see ANY ripoff here, except probably, by YOU.

I use the Dymo rolls and was able to prove it to Endicia and maintain my service...an amazing cost savings.

Stop trying to cheat the system and then cry "FOUL"

I have been using the "FREE" service since 2011. I even went to the expense of updating my Dymo printer and purchased their scale. I have used $765 total in postage during that time. It is not cost effective for me to now be forced to pay a monthly fee to use up my 1400 "unathorized" lables, or pay what amounts to .10 cents per stamp to use their labels. In 2011 It was never openly told to me that I had to use their labels, and life went on till July 2013. If I was informed of that I would never have upgraded my equipment. So please don't rant as if you work for them or are an investor in their stock. Regards Ray Martino.
