Southfork is an 868-acre, 606-home community development along the South Fork of the Payette River near Garden Valley approved by Boise County Commissioners in 2006.Less than 30 lots have been sold and Boise County has issued just five building permits for homes.Owners of the development include Dynamis CEO C. Lloyd Mahaffey and Dynamis Senior Vice President John Johnston.  Mahaffey and Johnston did not respond to requests for comment.  Southfork Landing/Eagle Springs Ranch owes Boise County $399,451.08 in property taxes for 2008 to 2011 for 122 parcels. About 35 percent of that amount is owed to the Garden Valley School District. They must pay the 2008 delinquent taxes in the amount of $75,445.31 plus interest and accrued costs and fees by July 23, 2012, to avoid us taking the parcels for tax deed, said Boise County Treasurer April Hutchings.

Mahaffey said earlier this month, "We understand we have to get it resolved before July 23."
(AS A SIDE NOTE THE TAXES HAVE NEVER BEEN PAID & THEY HAVE DEFAULTED ON THE LOAN)

Would you want to lend to a CEO and COO who have defaulted on a $24 million loan and never paid any taxes to Boise County, which ultimately left the school budget short of funds.

Dynamis Energy and Ada County have entered a 30-year agreement to build a $70 million plant capable of disposing of 408 tons of trash, tires and other solid waste daily. Dynamis plans to super-heat and gasify the waste at the county-owned landfill using a process that it says can reduce tons of trash in eight hours into a small pile of ash while creating a gas that can be converted to 20 megawatts of energy, which Idaho Power has agreed to purchase.
