My energy charge for May was 0.15356 per kWh. In June it increased to 0.23533 per kWh. That is a 53.25% increase. I must have missed the memo or email that informed me that I was about to get the largest electric bill I have ever seen. This company really put my family of 5 in a bind. When I called to inquire as to why such a large increase, I was told the price of energy was rising. DUH!! I got the impression that the "customer care" rep really didn't give a hoot about my inquiry.

Dynowatt was bought by Accent Energy in early 2007. I believe they do business as Dynowatt powered by Accent Energy. Thay do business in the Dallas, Fort Worth Area(Southlake, TX 76092). I would recommend using caution when dealing with this company. Actually, I would recommend not doing business with this company at all.

I agree! I think "Elvis" needs to get a grip

I just read the rebuttal that stated that electricity is regulated. Yes, it is. However, I did not use any more electricity than the month before. I used LESS than last year and when I called DYNOWATT they said they could do this cause EVERYONE was doing it. WRONG!
Please write to your State Representatives.

Dynowatt did NOT do right. They took advantage of people.

My bill went from a .13/kw to .25/kw in ONE month. Just because. And, they actually told me that if I notified the regulating agency it would do no good!
So, I contacted the BBB, etc.

My hats off to all who are writing complaints about this deadbeat company.

To FOSE(Fat Old Sweaty Elvis)

AUTHOR: Glenn - (U.S.A.)

Thanks for all your valuable info. You must be a man of enormous mental capacity. Please tell me where you get all this valuable info. Could you also provide me with some diet info. Or maybe you could provide me with some financial advice. How about parenting, do you know anything about that.

If you are really FOSE, my mom would like to meet the slim, dry version of you.

And to the administrator of this site, I thought this would be a place to vent your frustration with a company. I didn't know fat, old sweaty people would be able to leave meaningless and ignorant comments concerning real problems faced by consumers.

Hey, FOSE, "Leave the building." Go tell your kids how important you think your insignificant self is because nobody else thinks you are "squat".

Turn off the A/C!

AUTHOR: Fat Old Sweaty Elvis - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 21, 2008

Your rates are regulated by the PUC of Texas so there's no sense in blaming your utility company. They can't arbitrarily change rates from one month to the next.

In many places rates per kwh vary according to usage. So if you use more than a certain number of kwh's in a month, you get a higher rate and the bill gets bigger all of a sudden. This could explain your billing discrepancy.

The only way to fight this is to use less electricity. Turn that A/C thermostat up to 80, switch from regular light bulbs to compact fluorescent (CFL's), keep the oven off.
