My wife was led on a 5 hour journey thru the halls of high pressure sales. At the end of the ride, she was left holding a cheap contrcat agreement and a $1700 CC receipt for a POS Kirby Sentria. Only saving grace was that she did not finance the durn thing thru their finance company which I have read many , many complaints about.
Anyhoo, this just happened this evening and it's about to get ugly. I called DYRO and got a phone goon who was every bit of a scam artist as the sales rep. First of all, the sales rep did not tell my wife she had 3 days to cancel the sale, I read that at the bottom of the contract once I got my eyes on it. Furthermore, he did not give her the Gold Card warranty documentation so basically she bought a vacuum with no warranty. He told her she would get 6 years of "bumper to bumper" warranty and lifetime rebuild warranty after that. But no Gold Card documentation--no warranty whatsoever!
So ,again in speaking with the goon at DYRO on the phone , I tell him we don't want the vacuum and to have the sales guy swing buy, pick up the vacuum and tear up the contract, he proceeds to tell me that I shouldn't worry about surpassing the 3 day return guarantee deadline because I just "verbally" cancelled the order> Does this guy think I just fell off the idiot truck???? Verbally over the phone don't, and will never, cancel anything in a court of law. SO I tell him just that and his reply was
Well, they f'd with the wrong guy. I made a call to the cc company aand have already got the charge dispute documentation rolling. Nice having cc protection as if my wife had done their 24 E-Z payments with their finance company, this would most likley be like pulling teeth to get the contract cancelled and her not liable for any payments. It's the one time I'm glad my wife paid for something with her cc! LOL
So anyway, I'm sure we will not be liable for any monies when the smoke settles and they pick up their overpriced POS. BUt this is just a warning for those out there that may have a run in with these guys. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE!!! They con'd my wife and you could be next!! I keep y'all updated on how all of this shook out.

YOUR LUCKY NOTHING GOT STOLEN!!!
AUTHOR: Ex-Kirby Dealer - (U.S.A.)

I am the author of the other article written about Dyro Productions its called WHY I QUIT AFTER THREE DAYS. Let me just start off by saying everyone that works at Dyro is a con-artist. You are probably aware of that especially after the verbal contract agreement. Your wife was tricked into paying $1700 for a vacuum which is worth at max $600 at retail value, Dyro pays somewhere around $300 for each one. Good thing you called your credit card company because that 24 easy payments could easily have turned into $2,500, after the culmination of interest or they just keep charging you till you cancel by calling your credit card company.
The three day cancellation is a joke. First of all what company has a three day cancellation policy, most reputable companies have at least a 30 day cancellation policy. Another problem is that you cannot simply call and cancel or go to the distributor and have it cancelled in person. You can only cancel by mail. They have to have a letter stating cancellation in their office within three days of the initial purchase. How is that possible by mail? It is impossible. That's where they get you. It is in fine print so you are legally obliged. Oh, if you do send it by overnight delivery which charges a substantial fee, when you call they'll tell you (a) I never received a letter or (b) I got it sometime after the three days.
Bumper to bumper warranty, did you just buy a car? No, you bought a vacuum. I bet they also failed to tell you that the warranty excludes the three Bs (belts, bulbs, and bags). My question is what else could break on a vacuum? Is it going to get a broken tire, is the one piece handle going to fall apart, or the solid metal fan just breaks? I mean everything that could break is excluded in the warranty. Second, if these people sell you a $600 vacuum for $1700, tell you foolish nonsense over the phone, and refuse to pick up their unwanted merchandise. Do you honestly think they will uphold the Gold Warranty?
Just be happy that you called your company to cancel payments and nothing got stolen. I worked for this lying and deceitful company and found that there are no background checks. I had convicted felons in my training class. They told me that they did background checks before anyone was hired. But, they hired me on the spot. After training I signed a paper saying I would submit to a background check, then we were sent out to the field. That same hour. So obviously they never did a background check. There have been many reports about the horrors associated with Kirby. Some families let people in their homes for the free carpet cleaning, only to have things missing out their house once they leave. Some families come home and find the very item the Kirby con-artist mentioned to build rapport, is missing and a window is broken.
However on a different note, if a person from Kirby knocks on your door. POLITELY CLOSE THE DOOR. Chances are this person just realized they got scammed, the second they knock on your door. If you think their customer service is awful read my report called WHY I QUIT AFTER THREE DAYS. Trust me you got the better end of this scam.
KIRBY IS A SCAM. DO NOT BUY A KIRBY. DO NOT WORK FOR KIRBY. IT IS A SCAM TO BOTH THE BUYER AND SELLER.
