I contacted the E-Commerce Exchange company on March 26. I spoke to a guy named Paul O' Malley. He talked to me a bit about his company and even sent me a BBB report on his business.
I decided to sign up and so he sent me all the paperwork. I filled out the paperwork after he called. And on April 7, he had my store all set up and stuff.
But I have been having alot of trouble advertising and getting my store to be known. And this man was supposed to have advertised my website on major search engines. And I found out he didn't. And I paid him $385 to do everything.
And right now, I am stuck paying $99.95 a month for 36 months for the website plus $15 a month to keep the website up and $47.85 for God knows what.
I have contacted him almost repeatedly for almost 2 months now and I haven't heard from him ever since he finished my website.
I have already filed a BBB report on them. But so far, nothing.
I am very upset about this. This man sounded all charming, but now, I realize that this whole thing was a scam.
And now, I will lose a lot of money because of this.
I can't believe that he was bad enough to take advantage of my desperation and my effort to improve my family's financial situation.
And well, there you have my report.

The man I was working with wasn't really there to rip me off.
AUTHOR: Rosa - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, June 17, 2008
I spoke to Paul O'Malley on June 12, 2008.I was finally able to get ahold of him.
I told him how the business was going and he finally told me why he hadn't answered my calls or responded to any of my emails.
He talked to me about some kind of buyout offer so that I could cancel the business altogether, though not the $99.95 a month payments, which by the way are about to leave me toally broke as I have a situation with college tuition coming up.
And he called me a little while later, all upset at me, but I had no idea why. And he then told me that he saw my report on this website (which wasn't appreciated by him and I wasn't happy that it couldn't remain anonymous). And it took me a while to understand what he was talking about and when I finally did, I was startled.
And he told me that until I didn't delete the original ripoff report, he wasn't going to have an offer for me (though it is more like he wasn't going to talk to me until I took away this report from the website kind of thing, so I felt).
Now, how am I ever going to talk to him if I can't delete the original report because of the website's rules?
Now, I would like to say a few things to Paul as he didn't give me a chance to explain myself that day.
Well, first and foremost, I want to apologize for what happened. I had no idea that he would be so hurt by a report.
Second, I just want to explain why I did what I did here. I put this report on the website because I got the impression that he was really just out to rip me off because of the fact that he wasn't answering any of my calls or emails, which are normally characteristics of people who rip others off. He gave off that impression and I had decided that because he was acting all strange, I wasn't going to think of him as a person that was honest, but rather, that he was a person that only knew how to rip people off of their $$.
I am familiar with scammers (I have been ripped off numerous times and he knows this)and I had placed some trust in Paul because I thought he was honest. And so when he acted the way he did, I just thought that all he wanted was the money. And now, I have lost trust as a result of this, although Paul is innocent. I guess he is just the victim in this entire situation.I just wish he had told me about his problem earlier so that I could at least understand why he was acting all strange.
I wish that he would have said something so that I wasn't under the impression that he was a bad person and that he was a scammer.
I sincerely believe that I did what I did out of desperation as my business wasn't working. And I guess that by filing the original report, I was hoping that he would respond to that. And he did. Unfortunately, not the way I had hoped he would respond.
I guess I was just alarmed when I saw Paul's company listed on the website as a bad one because of two other people's bad expreiences with the company. And I guess that just because the people that attended to those people who wrote the reports weren't good people, it doesn't mean that Paul is one of them. I trust that if his coworkers say that he is a nice guy, then he's honest.
In conclusion, I want to tell Paul that I am sorry for hurting his feelings and for thinking that he was just out there to rip me off. Although I know that I want to terminate my business permanently, I want him to at least understand that I am sorry and I hope that he can understand my side of this situation.
