I went to the shop at 4:45 PM, 2 May 2005. I asked the woman behind the counter if she had this part, I gave it to her. I added if you don't stock it could you order it. It is a coil to a new purchased end of last summer 2004, Ryobi, 4-stroke weed eater. The part number is clearly MTD 9920, MA-37 3463. She said it wasn't coming up in the computer, so I asked if they could look it up in the book. Her boss jumped in we don't use books, you need to give us the model number. So, I said I need to go get my cell phone and call my wife, so I went outside got my phone from the vehicle and so I didn't disturb anyone inside the store I stood right outside the door and made my call. While I was on the phone looking at the entrance, the guy who told me I needed the model number, walked up to the door inside the building and locked the door and turned the sign over to closed, as I was standing there, what an *!@#!hole! I will never be a customer or consumer with this company as long as I live. If need be I will drive out of state before ever patronizing this place again. The treatment they showed towards me was anal, you lost me as a customer and anyone I come into contact with will hear my story and the some.

The business's response to the customers concern often reveals the businesses underlying attitude toward their customers as a whole. Note the tone of the response and reflect before doing business.

NOT A RIPOFF - Late, Unprepared, Uninformed, Inconsiderate, Customer?

NOT A RIPOFF -
Late, Unprepared, Uninformed, Inconsiderate, Customer?

E-town Small Engine as a rating of A+ from BBB. My experience with them has proven this an accurate rating.

Mr. J Cory of Rineyville, Kentucky, U.S.A., may want to self-reflect and re-examine his own personal vindictive response. It is highly likely that had he related to the employees positively and ask for their patience while he called his wife for the model number they would have obliged. Mr. Cory does not indicate that he effectively communicated his request or that he interacted in a reasonable, positive manner. Furthermore, in his "ripoff report", he still does not state the model number for his Ryobi, 4-stroke weed eater. This give pause for one to wonder if his wife could have even provided the required information for him to be provided his needed service.

Mr. Cory, You could help yourself by re-thinking your own behavior for future interactions as a customer.
