I went to work for Eagle Logistic Services the Last of October of 2015. When I came to this company I had so many High Hopes. To date My truck has Made $21,226.56 And out of that Money My bring home pay is only $2100.00 But I was to be making 75% of what the loads pay. Eagle that is Back By Celadon trucking comes up with all these Insurances that you have to have. And comes up with all kinds of stuff you have to pay. So that they get all the Money. Quality Leasing is also owned and backed by Celadon
I told my DM that My concern was I wanted to make $2000.00 So that I could Get my kids Christmas. Talking to me he was all for it. But behind my back he was setting it up so that I could not make it. And when you call in to complain or request. All they tell you is we did not agree to anything in writing if you have anything in writing please send it over. During the investagation I have found that these three companies do all kinds of paper work to cover there self and rip the driver off so that they can make and keep the money.
I will be turning over all that I have to a panel of goverment offices that are wanting information on what these companies are doing. They are destroying drivers lifes so they can make a dollar. They are making drivers lose all they have with the promises of making it good down the road. They have a select few drivers that they make sure exceed so they give great reports on them.
Reports will be sent along with copies of lease agreements and all my settlement sheets. I am also in contact with other drivers that have worked for this company to get copies of all of theres as well.
I will be turning copies over to all Offices that want to investagate these companies. The only offices so far that has requested this is IRS. I have Been talking with offices in washington Motor carriers office and DOT and BBB.
I tried to get them to settle with me last week when I quit. But they acted like they did nothing wrong. That all they would say Is i dont have nothing in writing. Well I have lease agreements and copies of all settlements. I Have also showed where they are allowing eagle Drives the chance to book there own loads. But if you book a good paying load. you will get tied up at the dock and lose the load where it can be placed own a company driver so they can get more of the money.
They have Eagle company set up so Celadon cand use it as a tax write off.
SO PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Eagle/Celeadon.Quality Scam

The complaints are legit. Back when this complaint was filed they used very few 3PL's and trying to get a DM on the phone to help you get a load or find yourself one while driving isn't feasible. The charges are outrageous, and I don't think there was a week that passed they didn't have to fix my paycheck. Quality sells junk trucks and then one has to pay for them to be fixed. They come with no warranty and Celadon knew they were just because they really never fixed their own d**n problems.
I don't know how many L/O left due to running all the time and not making a penny. So the Company made money, but the unsuspecting driver didn't. Well, they did get investigated and are now shut down and several executives charged. So, he was right. They really did screw not only the drivers with their marked up junk trucks they always made mistakes on payroll. What a nightmare.

I am a business owner and a trucker. As for everything that was said it's true, quality companies is a complete rip off. I went to there lot in indy on the premise that they had several new trucks to purchase, but when you get there they give you a list of about 100 available trucks to choose from. They will have maybe 3 on the list that are new and when you inquire about those they tell you that they have already been purchased. I took it a step future and asked to see a bill of sale on those units and was asked to leave there property. The company is owned by celadon and is a outlet to get rid of there junk off lease trucks and that's all. They put up a good front but there just another of a long list of scam artists who feed on the unsuspecting dreams of the American truck driver. I hippie they all rot in hell for what they do and feel they should all be in jail for robbing so many unsuspecting Americans. Shame on them all! !!!

Did You Even Bother To Read The Contract YOU Agreed To?

You are an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR and not an employee! Do you understand the difference? Apparently not! As an IC, YOU are responsible for the various costs associated with the truck including the various types of insurance required, both ends of certain payroll related taxes and other expenses. You act surprised by all this which tells anyone you didn't even bother to read what you were signing. You can also put to rest the typical CB trucker talk about tax write offs as most guys who use that term don't have the slightest clue what they're talking about. The other thing you can put to rest is this notion the dispatcher is lying to you and is out to get you...again this is the typical BS spread by truck drivers who haven't the slightest clue about business. The company cannot make money from your truck unless your wheels are moving. Therefore it is to their advantage to keep you moving IF they have the freight for you to move! As an IC, they cannot force you to take any load but if you are continually passing up loads, then it is you who is the worst enemy in your revenue generation.
By the way, the BBBBS is NOT part of any government body. So they won't be part of any of these alleged "government boards" you have "arranged"!
With all this being said, I will tell you there are better ways to make money than being involved in one of these IC trucking programs. Although they claim you are so "independent", reality is you are held captive by them rather than you being able to prospect and get your own loads. Finally, it needs to be understood, being a good driver is one thing. Being a good businessman is another. To be successful as an owner operator, one must be both and that combination can be hard to find in trucking.
