In August my transmission went out. I took it to a mechanic, he stated only the torque cylinder needs to be replaced and he referred me to Eagle Transmission. They towed my car and fixed it the next day. Gordon who works at Eagle Transmission called me stating that the transmission needed to be rebuilt, a plate on the crank shaft needed to be applied, and something about an oil leak. Since I do not know much about cars I was very stupid and agreed to the work they quoted. I should have throught twice and got a second opinion. First, why would you even need to worry about an oil leak when you are fixing a transmission? Second, why are you doing things to a car that a transmission shop SHOULD NOT DO?

So after they said it was 'fixed' I had to wait 2 weeks to get my car back because I could not pay all of the $1400 up front. I asked them about the 'no credit financing'. Gordon told me 'We dont do that'. Then why have it on your website? Talk about some false advertising.

Finally the time came to get my car and I was happy to get my car back. I went at 6:00 to get my car and when I got my car and pulled off the lot, a bad noise was coming from the tire. I turned right around and the mechanic with the thick glasses sped off. That really angered me. So I planned to call them the next morning. Wake up the next day, travel to work, all the sudden my brakes fail. I had my brake system replaced 2 weeks before I took it to Eagle Transmission. I was able to get my car to my job and I called eagle transmission to come tow my car. Later that day Gordon calls me at work and says that a pebble got stuck between the rotor and the brake shoe. That had to be the most PATHETIC excuse i have ever heard. I brushed it off since I was tired of dealing with them and I went to go pick up my car since they refused to tow it back to my job. About 2 days go buy and my transmission is slipping from 2nd to third and 3rd to 4th. I then had to drop off my car and I was becoming really irritated. This had gone on week after week all the way through december. I wanted a refund and they refused to. I would have taken it to court but the 180 day mark since the date of service had passed.
They apparently do not have a clue as to what they are doing. The mechanic there is very unprofessional and should not be there. He is apparently lieing just to make the company money. The manager Gordon is as well a huge liar. A pebble can not cause brakes to fail.
On my receipt it says they rebuilt the transmission with a master overhaul kit... thats a lie. I got tired of them so I was forced to buy a new car JUST to make sure I can keep a job. I hope that people read this and DO NOT USE THEM! Their slogan 'The One To Trust' is very misleading. They are not the one to trust.

New Management Team - Great customer service!

AUTHOR: Matthew sibley - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 08, 2008

I did receive a call by surprise yesterday from Eagle Transmission from the new management team. The manager Lynn called me and greatly apologized for what the previous mechanics and ex-employee Gordon had done. He did offer me to bring the Honda in and he garanteed it would be corrected with no problems at all since the mechanic who did my work is gone from the company. I no longer have the Honda, but I am however glad that the mechanic and Gordon are no longer part of the new management team at Eagle Transmission. Lynn did give me an apology and offered me a free service which I will definately take up on. Its very nice to see that the business now has a caring staff. The customer service of Lynn just calling me to apologize for the previous management team's error shows me that the new management team really does care and is trying to make it right. I cant recall any place before doing that. If I were to have a transmission problem, I would try them again since Lynn is there.
