East Coast Relocation Excellent Movers breach of contract Davie, Florida

East Coast Relocation was hired in November 2009 to move our furniture from our home in Sunrise to storage until we were ready to move to Illinois.  The movers that came at that time were very professional, although they were late. 

In January we made the move from Florida to Illinois.  It took the movers over 2 weeks to get to our home.  First they couldn't leave Florida because it wasn't a full truck, then the truck broke down.  When they finally reached our home, they were extremely unprofessional.  They complained that this was the biggest job they ever had, tracked mud through the entire white carpet of our brand new house, dinged walls, dropped furniture and boxes and, broke items, and lost items.

We sent a letter and pictures to Scott at East Coast Relocation and he told me that we did not purchase full coverage insurance for the storage to Florida move, but rather from Sunrise to storage (which is not true and doesn't make any sense).  After telling Scott that I'll play his game and that I'm claiming the damage was done from Sunrise to storage he said he would pay us $1000.00 in 8 to 10 weeks.  It is now 11 weeks and he tells me that the company has no money and that he will not be sending me a check.  I told him that I was going to sue him and he said "good luck".  So bottom line, we're hiring an attorney and taking them to court.
