I am filing complaint against EAST HILLS CHEVROLET OLDSMOBILE, 1039 Northern Blvd. Roslyn, N.Y. 11576 (516) 869-8100. This company uses deceptive and fraudulent sales practices.
I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. As part of the purchase of my new vehicle I intended to trade-in a used vehicle. The salesman and I agreed on a "price or value" for my trade-in which was to be applied towards the purchase of the new vehicle. On the day I came to pick up my new vehicle, I was advised that my trade in had been "re-appraised" at a substantially lower value than what was previously given to me in my buyer's contract.
This is a type of bait and switch tactic that is grossly deceptive and fraudulent.
If EAST HILLS CHEVROLET resolves this matter to my satisfaction I will advise your office accordingly and withdraw this complaint.
