Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge - B&Z Auto Enterprises, LLC SCAMM!!! Sold us a lemon and claimed it was a certified vehicle Bronx New York

Dear Sir/Madam

 I am writing you today because of our recent experience with Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge located at 4007 Boston Rd, Bronx, NY 10466. We calledsaid dealer and set an appointment to test drive a few Dodge Journey with the intention to buy. We told the rep that we are travelling from PA and asked if they had certified Dodge Journeys, they checked and confirmed. We went to NY from PA on 8/4/2016 and got their around 1pm.

Steve, a sales agent took us around the lot to show us what they have in stock. He showed us some used and some certified. Steve wanted us to go to a storage place to make a selection and test drive a Journey but we advise him that we did not want to waste his time and we would prefer to get preapproved first to see what we qualify for. Steve, took our social security and came back and said yes we would qualify for a new Dodge Journey SE. We did not get to test drive the Dodge Journey SE we wanted at that time because it was in the back and Steve told us he would get it over to the shop and have it cleaned up, prepped and ready to go.

Steve, told us that the finance manager is working on our case now and it will take about 45 minutes. We asked if it was ok to grab something to eat and he said yes come back around 4:30pm and we should be ready to sign and go. We got back and sit for hours while the finance manager assists other customers. We were constantly told that they are working on it now while we sit at Steve’s desk out in the show room. They finally called us over to the other side of the show room and told us we only qualify to lease the vehicle. After denying the lease they then told us to stick around they are going to work something out. So, they said they could get us in a pre-owned Dodge Journey and we asked if it was a certified Journey. The finance manager said yes and that it will take about an hour to reprocess the paperwork because we are now choosing another vehicle.

We waited for hours while other customers come and go. From our first phone call we expressed that we are travelling from PA, also, we expressed that if we cannot get a vehicle today, we would like to know so that we can leave and come back another day because we don’t miss our bus back home. This is the first time we are taking out a loan to get a vehicle for the family and the experience in that short amount of time dealing with Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge was completely horrible.

They finally came over and said that we are qualified to finance the Dodge in question and they are just waiting on the bank. Majority of our time was spent at Steve’s desk and during the selection and waiting time we asked if the vehicle was certified and was told yes by Steve, Byron, other sales agent, and another finance manager who confirmed with Steve that the vehicle was Dodge Certified. When signing the documents, we asked, how none of these documents mentioned that the Vehicle is certified. They all made a fool out of us by saying that this is a Dodge Dealer and pointed to the shop and said that this is where the certification takes place and this is what they do here. When the vehicle is sold they will contact Carfax and Chrysler to inform them and send a certification in the mail to us. They expressed and confirmed from several individuals including the finance managers that this is the process of certifying a vehicle and there is no other way, they even laughed.

We left the Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership around minutes to midnight. On our way home we noticed that the ABS lights was on, the traction light was on, and the service all-wheel drive light and the service all-wheel drive alarm came on. While my wife was driving, the vehicle started vibrating and pulled to the left. The brakes also made clicking noise when slowing down occasionally and somewhat skips for lack of a better word. This morning, we noticed that there are three oil spots under the vehicle and the fender was not replaced properly, making it seems as if the vehicle was in a fender bender and they did not bother to attached the fender correctly. The vehicle was dirty inside and outside now that we get to fully see it in the daylight, also, we had to full the tank because there was less than a quarter tank of gas.

I wondered how can this vehicle be certified? So, I called Chrysler corporate office on 8/5/2016 who looked up the VIN # in their system and informed me that the vehicle is NOT certified. The vehicle that we just bought was sold to us as certified and it is NOT. My family and I are in great distress at this moment. We were misled in believing that the vehicle we bought from Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer was in fact a certified vehicle, apparently it is NOT. I have tried to contact the dealer several times, including Chrysler with me on the phone and no luck as yet, however, I was able to get through to sales. I called them again on 8/6/2016 and only got through to a rep.

On 8/7/2016 we noticed that the gear was not shifting correctly. At times, when accelerating the vehicle would jump into gear jerking or pulling the vehicle, indicating that there might be some transmission issues. We tried numerous times to get in contact with Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge andno answer or replies as yet. We will try one last attempt on 8/8/2016 and if we are unable to get in contact we are going public. We plan to take the vehicle back to Bronx New York on 8/10/2016 which is our day off.
