Eastern Assest Management Mean and Unethical Tatics Buffalo New York

I am dealing with a Mr. Pontera, yet I started with a Ms. Anderson. I thought I was working with a younger guy and he said that he was his son(odd). I did not recall a debt in California for $800.00 in 2005. I have lived in Washington since November 2005. He is rude and horrible to both me and my mom. HELP!! How do I get them to leave me a lone. They have threaten to send me the District Attoreny because I failed to honor a payment arrangement. They are threatening to send me to jail for bad check. I did not write a check. I wanted to give a debit card but they insited I had to give the routing number and account number. I unfortunately did not have the money and now they threaten me with writing a bad check accross state lines. Other collection agencies I work with have never treated me this badly and would have said then the settlement offer is withdrawn and you owe the whole thing or they work with me. But this guy scared the crap out of me and I called my mom in panic and she was going to help but first requested written documentation from Mr. Pontera (not sure if this is the write spelling)and they said no. They insited on her bank information which she refused, they refuse to accept any payment unless she gave them her checking routing and account number. They refuse to accept mail payment or any other form of payment. My mom said stop dont pay them she thinks its a scam. I just realized today 08-04-2009 that I have never received a written letter from them and I requested written documentation months ago, they called my cell phone which only friends and family know, they are on my credit report as one that checked into my credit but I show no debt owed to Eastern Management. I am scared and worried and if they are a scam I feel violated and want to know how the hell they got all my personal information! Please tell me what i can do!!
