At 6 pm Friday 18th May Wife & I saw a 2003 Ford Mustang on their website, and decided it looked ok. We rang the showroom and asked if it was on the lot and could we look at it, as being 6' 3" I have problems fitting into some cars.
We were told it was and we could have a look at it.
3.5 hours later we finally had to leave after enduring a grilling and series of stories as to why the car was actually in Maryland and not Virginia. We were told it would be here for 10 am Saturday morning and we advised we would call to test drive it between 12 - 1 pm on that day.
We checked online and found the value on the car was almost $3k less than they valued it at on both Edmonds & Kelley's. Also the fault it had 'front right pillar' damage was not as we were told to the 5 mph bumper, but as we suspected to the main frame of the car.
We returned Saturday and after an hours waiting ( the car was in inspection ) we pointedout again as we had when we arrived, that we were after a straight trade in for our 02 Toyota Tacoma which had been valued at $ 13,500 by them.
When it became apparent to them that we were not going to drive it, fall in love and then shell out anything they stopped the act of keeping us waiting and said that was goodbye then.
I pointed out that we had wasted 4.5 hours with them, and that this site has numerous reports about them, they could not have cared less that their reputation is so bad.
I would not send my worst enemy to them, they are truly an appaling company that prey on those that have bad credit, and cannot get a motor in any other way.
Luckily my wife & I have a decent enough credit rating that we can afford to go to other show rooms and shop around.

ok first of all, straight up trades are not very benificial, if at all, the company sells used cars, and basically just trading one car for another, in all reality of business is pretty much a waste of time, BECAUSE, by the time its quality inspected, detailed and put on location and man hours, they have already lost money and then at that point have to sell it for more or take a loss. so you have to understand that, its about time, and time is really money in the car business, you have to understand that

You almost traded an '02 Toyota Tacoma that you know for a questionable 2003 Ford Mustang.
This is not ever going to be a good trade in my mind. The personality type (boy-racer-wannabe) usually drawn to a Mustang is *usually* not as careful, thoughtful, or mature, as the personality type who would be drawn to a Toyota Tacoma.
The Mustang is a unibody so 'front right pillar' damage is VERY serious as it suggests a distorted vehicle and a site for growing rust which would DESTROY the vehicle's integrety and value.
What is wrong with your Tacoma?
