I purchased a new Jeep at Eastside Chrysler last March. My VW was the trade-in. The dealership was to payoff the Bankamerica Auto loan which secured this VW.
2 weeks later I received a message from Jennifer, a finance rep at the dealership, telling me that they were working on obtaining the payoff to Sunrise Credit. I was very concerned because this Sunrise Credit is a collection agency, they are trying to collect on something that I do not owe.
I called and left several messages at the dealership telling them that the Auto loan is with Bankamerica, that Sunrise has nothing to do with this. At first they wouldn't pay attention and even faxed me a form that Sunrise faxed them, an authorization to release title.
I called again and said I won't sign, that this is not the lienholder, they are collectors and trying to collect on something else. Finally Buck Myers called me back and said he would work on the problem. Well to date the auto loan has not been paid off.
After I complained to the Better Business Bureau, I received a response from Jerry, their customer relations manager, which said that the debt was paid in full, and the payoff letter, to Sunrise, was included with the documents he sent, along with the authorization to release title. This authorization to release title had my forged signature on it. I had refused to sign it because Sunrise was not the lienholder. I can't figure out why they would forge my signature on this document when I told them time and time again that this was not the lienholder and they would not be able to obtain title.
At any rate, my auto loan is still not paid by this dealership, its reporting to my credit report, and someone at this dealership - either a sales rep such as John or Jeff...or someone else...has committed forgery. I informed the BBB of this and they said they can do nothing at this point and suggested that I now check with the FTC.
As a side note, when I purchased the new Jeep, I had to spend over 4 hours in the dealership waiting while the sales reps went back and forth pretending to talk to Finance reps to work out some deal for me. I was waiting at this table with my friend...we had to dodge these large bugs that were flying under the table, it was gross. Another thing, the jeeps all said "$3,000 off the price" - - well Jeff one of the sales people explained that this "$3,000 rebater" includes a military rebate and a recent grad rebate. And this dealership advertises "no phony lures"!!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!

Same experience with this dealership
AUTHOR: Cj - (U.S.A.)

Had the same horrible experience with this dealership. Bought a new Jeep. The Jeep they brought to their dealership was not the one I purchased. They did bait and switch tactic saying the Jeep came from Oregon. Turns out it came from Auburn, WA. Had miles on it and such. Also problem with right side door. Also I applied for a lower interest rate auto loan with a credit union. Turns out they forged my signature and signed me up with a higher interest rate loan with Chase. Never even gave them bank or income info. How did I get approved for this loan?
Received no assistance or advice from State Attorney General's Office. Just a reply that this is not an important issue; nothing can be done and to go seek legal counsel. Even contacted BBB and Chrysler Jeep. Same crappy responses. Tried contacting lawyers in this state. None were too interested in my case at all unless I fork over thousands of $ for consultation fee with no gaurantee they would handle my case. I was completely dissapointed and still dealing with a loan I never applied for. This was back in 2006. Seems this business can get away with doing whatever they want. Recently found out they went bankrupt and left a sour reputation. Also I will never purchase a vehicle in the state of WA again.
