This is an irresponsible and dishonest rental company. They will deduct your security deposit from beach sand in the house floor, to pet hair; above and beyond all the expensive cleaning and pet fee. When we stayed in one of their d**n houses, they never responded our calls for non-functioning dishwasher and already broken pool lamp. My daughter got a cut by the broken lamp in the pool, and they accused us broke the d**n lamp. Guess what, yes, they charge us the lamp too. We stayed for 4 days, and never got a call returned from them. When we got home, they sent a letter indicates $400+ of our deposit has been deducted.

These are what they charged us:
Bath room tower hanger $50
Garbage - $50 (duh, are we supposed to bring the garbage with us home)
Beach sand - $50 (didn't we already pay $300 cleaning fee)
Pet hair - $60 (pet fee is $160 for 2 dogs)
Pool Lamp - $147 (already broken when we got there, called management, they never return call)
Overuse Pool, thermo set to 100 degree F - $75 (d**n you, we paid $45/day for the d**n pool, and we had to stayed away from the pool since the first time we used it because my daughter got cut by the broken lamp in the pool).

They are in the robbery business.

1. Pool light safety issue: when our kids got into the pool the first time, one of the boy stepped on a piece of glass. No biggie, kids let parents know and started trying to pick up some other broken pieces themselves at the bottom of the pool, then collect them by the pool because they really like to have a pool to play. One of our parents called the owner immediately, owner came and, instead of closing the pool and calling an immediate service, he started to accused us, said we should not bring glass to the pool. We were totally stunned, and of cause we told him those glasses pieces were in the pool before we got here, but he obviously did not believe us. Since the owner came to check and saw nothing wrong with the pool, we allowed kids to play in the pool again the next day (huge mistake, we should have called police immediately and charge the owner with attempted murder), and this was when my daughter got a cut by the broken light still mounted on the pool wall while she climbed out of the pool. Bloody feet, wound was about two inches wide, and you could almost see the bone. I have a photo I wish I could show you. We called the owner about the bleeding injury, and he would not return our call. It was the Thanksgiving day and he said he was with his family, while we were trying hard to stop the bleeding, and worrying if we should go to hospital if the bleeding wouldnt stop, where could we find a hospital . If you are running a people business and provide service, it is your obligation to ensure your customers are safe no matter when it happens. Was the owner not irresponsible? How dare he accused our kids broke the light without a bit of sympathy. Owner said the pool was serviced every week. Is the service company licensed? Does someone actually touch the pool light, since the lights were submerged under water, and check whether it is still intact? I would like to request the information of the service company, and pursue a legal action.

2. Pool usage: The owner did set the pool temperature to 90 degree for us (at least there is something to be thankful). But somehow he set it up the way that pool would start to work and warm up at around 10:00 AM in the morning and stopped at sometime (may be 4:00 PM) in the afternoon. What in the world he decided to turn on the pool while most people were out to the beach, and leave a pool of cold water when we had time to enjoy in the night? Is that stated in the contract also? How dare he accuse us for setting the pool temperature to 100 degree. We totally stopped using the pool after my daughters injury. Thats the second day of our total 4-days stay.

3. Black pet hair: this is the biggest lie and actually made us laugh. Two dogs were with us, one is all white golden doodle, and the other is brown and white border collie. We have whole bunch of photos to prove it. Busted.

4. Towel rack: this could potentially be another safety issue. When the rack fell off on the first day we arrived, we examined the rack. It was glued on to the wall where there is an old big hole, which I supposed should be a screw in there, but there is not. The rack could have fallen on anyone who uses it and causes injury.

5. Sand in the house: this must be a joke, the house is not right on the beach, it is about 200 feet from the beach, how far does it take to shake off all the sand on your shoes? If there is sand in the house, it is minimal. Is $300 cleaning fee not enough to hire someone to vacuum, and so charge us for extra $50? What was the expensive cleaning company they use? is the owner telling us not to go to the beach, or he is indeed greedy?

6. Excessive garbage: when we left, all garbage were bagged. Two bags were left in the kitchen because the garbage can outside was full. We even separated the recyclable garbage in owners recycle bin. Again, what kind of cleaning service do they use? Does it take extra $50 to move 2 bags of garbage? Is the owner telling us we better take the garbage with us home? Or is he just greedy?

7. Dishwasher: we never got to use the dishwasher because it was broken, and we had to wash all dishes by hand during our stay. Several of us had tried many ways and it just wasnt working. The owner seemed to be very sick of getting lots of our calls for help, but he just simply decided he wasnt going to show up and help his customers. This is how they treat their customers?
