Eco-Stucco Bill Dehal Disrespectful, High Prices, Dis Honest, Bad Business Ethics Ancaster Ontario

A few days ago I was looking into getting some Stucco on the side of my home. I contacted a number of companies and Eco-Stucco came to do an estimate.

When Bill arrived he was seemingly very interests in doing the job and "giving me the best price anyone would" in his words. I was excited to hear about how the process is done and the timeline. Bill asked a number of questions about me, which initially made me think he was a genuine "good guy" contractor. After about 15 minutes of him asking me personal details about my life, it appears he was overly flirtatious with me, something Im sure my husband would not approve of...or His wife for that matter. I changed the subject back to my stucco.

He gave me a quote which seemed very high to me, but as the first contractor I spoke with I waited to hear it out. I told him that it might not be in my budget right at the moment in that price range. He had ensured me it would be worth it as my house will be the best looking on the block. He then went on to say that basically my house looked like s**t and he would double its value in a day. At this point I really didn't appreciate him talking to me like I was stupid and he was a god send, so I told him that I would have to think about it and asked him to leave.

Then he got quite pushy and was trying to sell the stucco hard saying that they would give me a discount if I gave them a good testimonial as they are a new company and the testimonials on the site need to be replace, which only made me assume they are fake. That also seems shady but I will get back to that after. I asked how much the discount would be out of curiosity, he told me it would depend on the review, the better the review the bigger the discount...but It had to be done before they did the work. He also offer a finance package where they would do the job and get paid later, at 15% interest, which was a bit insane to say the least, might as well put it on a credit card for that price.

I asked Mr.Dehal to leave and informed him I would need to talk with other contractors before making my decision on whether or not to go with Eco-Stucco or not. As he got back into his truck he said he "hopes that someone will do it because my house needs work bad and even stucco wont fix that ugly mess". I found that to be completely unprofessional and un necessary. Then he revved his engine and sped out of my survey, which has many children in it, and squealed his tires around the corner.

I got a hold of the other contractors that were to come and quote my job and every one was 1/2 the price or less the Bill had quoted me at and said that his prices were absurd. So if looking for contracting work, look right past Eco-Stucco and check out anyone else.

I looked into his site (eco-stucco.com) and somewhere to look deeper into this further. His website lists

as the address, but when I look on Google maps its One to One auto service, which seems like yet another lie from Eco-Stucco. I looked at the pictures listed on the site as work done, most are in Ancaster and I recognize, but they have been there for over 10 years, Bill Dehal told me that they were a new company, hence needed a glowing review to help them. After reading the reviews on the site, they all seems worded similar, which I am not sure of but either someone took the 'discount' option or they are all written by the same person, probably never had the displeasure or dealing with Bill.

So in closing, the site lists an address of someone else's company, they are very over priced (possibly to accommodate the discount package for a glowing review), the pictures they show on their site of business are just pictures taken of those business' not that they did the work (seems like taking credit for someone else's work). The whole thing seems like a scam in the making, I am happy to say I went with another company and got my house done and it looks fantastic, but I highly recommend never dealing with Eco-Stucco.com unless you have a lot of extra money laying around and want to be belittled into getting the work done.

You see his signs all over lawns and stop lights around the city, don't be fooled, not a reputable company.
