ECOST THEY WILL RIP-YOU OFF, BORDERLINE FRAUD, READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THEM Memphis Tennessee

I ordered a laptop on January 6th a Saturday night, & emailed my son the details He called me & said he thought the laptop was used because the word "Re-certified" was used in the description

I had never heard the word "Re-certifed" to describe a used item before, but because I did not want a used laptop I tried to cancel this order only 17 minutes after I placed it.

The phone number they provided had a recording that said they would not be open until 7 am on Monday. I left 3 e-mails all marked URGENT & PLEASE CANCEL ORDER But, no one ever returned my emails or called me. Finally on Monday morning at 7:01 on January 8th I spoke to a rep from Ecost.com & explained the situation to her

She was very rude & said I could not cancel because the laptop was already shipped out. I said I found that hard to belive & asked her to give me the tracking number but of coarse she said she didn't have it.

I called my credit card company & they said to not accept the package when it arrived, so I called Ecost.com back & told the service rep I would not accept the package if they insisted on sending it out knowing I wanted to cancel She threatened me that they would charge my account anyway.

I found out later and I have written proof the laptop was not shipped out until January 9th (AFTER I CANCELED BY EMAIL AND PHONE) so she made good her threat

Now, because this was a debit credit card I have checks bouncing and my account is over-drawn & loaded with fees
I can't even use my checking account!

I have contacted the BBB about them & I have reported them to my bank but I see that there are at least 12 other complaints here on this website about ECOST.COM and I only wish I would have seen this before I placed my order with them

If you're even thinking about buying from them DON'T they are Rip-off artists
