AFTER 3 YEARS AND $20,000 IN DEBT I CAME TO FIND OUT THAT MY DEGREE WAS WORTHLESS. THE SCHOOL IS LAUGHED AT, NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND REGIONALLY ACCREDITED NOT NATIONALLY.

I CANNOT FIND A JOB THAT WILL RESPECT AND ACCEPT MY EDUCATION. GIVEN THE CHANCE, I WOULD GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL THAT IS RESPECTED. AND BELIEVE ME ALL MY FRIENDS SAY THE SAME THING AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. SURE SOME STUDENTS HAVE FOUND JOBS BUT NOT MANY.

MOST ARE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING A JOB DUE TO THE ABOVE STATED PROBLEMS. I WOULD HATE TO SEE ANOTHER PERSON GO THROUGH THE SAME THING EVERY ONE ELSE HAS GONE THROUGH. DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THEIR SLY AND IRRESPONSIBLE RECRUITING PRACTICES.

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. BECAUSE IN THE END YOU WILL THANK ME, YOUR POCKET BOOK WILL BE BIGGER AND THE MONEY YOU SAVE ON A BOGUS AND WORTHLESS TUITION WILL PROBABLY BUY YOU A NEW CAR.

I had the same problem with Remington College!

AUTHOR: Ruth - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 02, 2005

Boy I am glad I am not the only one to report this "college." After 2 long years of 5 hour classes 3 nights a week at Remington in Little Rock, Arkansas, I have not been able to obtain ONE job/career since I graduated. I graduated July 8, 2004!!!

They are guilty of FALSE ADVERTISING. The recruiter LIED TO ME when I specifically asked him if the college helped place graduates in jobs! He overanswered YES! YES! Definetely, he said! (This was the ONLY reason I chose Remington, though it was Education America at that time)

He told me: "We work WITH all major companies & have regular board meetings regarding new graduates for their companies!"

This really excited me & my mother because it was early 2002, right after the 9/11 tragedy, & there were NO job opportunities in Arkansas then. (or now!)

I bought it & jumped right in..... I must admit, the teachers were excellent, classes were thoroughly taught, and I learned a lot! But this is not the point. I can learn almost anywhere; the deal was they would not ditch me as soon as I graduated. They supposedly had connections with the business execs & fed me these lines about all the help they'd give me.

The recruiter & the career services rep. even told me they successfully place over 85% of their graduates, no problem!
This is why I was SHOCKED when I finally graduated & went for my final interview for job placement assistance with my recruiter.... and suddenly they were too busy.... no one returned my calls for weeks.

I finally went up there in person & reminded the career services rep. I had been assured certain things when I enrolled in 2002 & I expected them to stick to what they advertised or I would have no choice but to assume I was lied to at enrollment & during the tour & for 2 years -period!

I am not dumb! I graduated with a 3.75 - never made anything but As & Bs & I am a great Accounting & Computer student! I loved the learning experience there, which is why this is so disappointing to me!

This college looks so horrible to me now, everytime I see their fake commercials, I feel so bad for the people that will buy it & enroll. I now owe the US Dept. of Education over $15,000 in loans.... and I cannot get a job.

The only offers I've had are for restaurants!
I did not sit that long in college to serve strangers their meals.

I will not settle for anything less than what my degree entitles me to - it's only fair.

Anyways, I just wanted to let this out, it really sucks & I am so disappointed...

I, too, feel as if my degree is worthless. It is doing me no good. Maybe I am just in the wrong state?

Is it as bad out in the other 49 states as it is here, in Arkansas, guys?

Someone let me know; b/c noone down here can really find or keep a job/career!
they simply aren't here to find.
where are they then??

HELP!

Regionally Accredited is Higher!

AUTHOR: Mona - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 11, 2004

FYI - Remington College is Nationally Accredited which is considered to be a LOWER accreditation than Regional.

Regional Accreditation is the highest level of accreditation a university can attain in the US. Harvard is regionally accredited, University of Phoenix is regionally accredited, University of Colorado are all examples of regionally accredited institutions.

So whatever school you go to - you should go to one that is REGIONALLY ACCREDITED not nationally.
