Edward Jones Financial Check Mail Scam Maryland Heights Missouri

Received check in the mail for 4,500.00 and won 150,000.00 and all I had to do was moneygram them 3,750.00 for tax payment purposes in order to receive my winnings. I needed to call my claim agent in order to get more information.

The tax officer was British and the claim agent was also foreign which sent off a red flag.

With this scam you are to deposit the check which gives them access to your bank information, and westernunion or moneygram them the money. The check in then doe not clear and you are out all your information and 3,750.00.

I looked up the financial institution listed on the letter and called them directly and was notified that it was a scam. Thank God.
