I am writing this on behalf of my neighbour who received in the mail a letter from Spain claiming that he had won $615,810.00. The letter was written in english, however as my neighbour does not speak very good english asked if i could take a look at it.
i told him i would ask the police about it and check it out on the internet. As the letter was sent from Spain and we are in Australia the police had no jurisdiction over this matter and advised that the letter should be destroyed and ignored.
i then did a search on the internet under "Atlantico Grupo Security" and "El Gordo" which led me to this web site. i noticed that although there was over 300 cases reported the youngest was Nov 2006. i would like to warn people that these people are still out there trying to rip people off!!!
My neighbour was almost fooled by this diception and nearly met all of their rrequests which would have had deverstating financial consequences for him and his family.
