Elder help is a legitmate organization , they are wonderful caring human beings who care about the elderly and send caretakers to people in need . Un fortunatly their screening proceess is not as good as it needs to be . They sent Karen Roffe to Marilyn Mir's house in Feb 2009 . Marilyn died soon there after . Her daughter had to call the police to make contact with her mother who Karen was supposed to be helping . Karen is loooking for someone to die and leave her some money .
Marilyn is dead since May 14th 2009 and as of July 24th 2009 Karen still refuses to leave her home . Jewerly and other personal belongings have dissapeared . Marilylns 60 year old antique dresser dissapeared in the middle of the night with no explatnation . Karen was responsible for Marilyns death and gave her no help as a caretaker and was hoping to inherit money form Mariylin. She daily asks if the "has the trust been read yet". She is a gold digger and sqwatter and has no intention of helping anyone ,,,

Don't worry , I know Karen will have no problem "disposing " of your mother's items . Have you tried geting her out of house .. Good luck to you and family. Ask Karen to let you talk to anyone she can think of from her former employer..

KAREN ROFFE A Stellar Companion to my mom

I highly recommend KAREN ROFFE in her vocation as a companion to those who have illnesses and/or conditions for which they need assistance.
Karen spent almost a month at my mothers home and her attitude and helpfulness went far beyond what I would have expected. She became friends with my Mom and spent many hours just talking and listening to her. She was there in the middle of the night when my Mom was restless or fearful. She made sure my Mom had nutritious and hot meals each day and was very diligent about seeing to my Moms medications.
When I arrived from out of state to be with my Mom during her last two weeks of life, Karen was there to welcome me and apprise me of the status of my Mother. I had other tasks to complete at Moms and Karen was always ready and willing to assist. It was amazing at what I was able to accomplish with her help. She and I moved, cleaned, sorted, organized generally taking care of all the steps one has to follow to dismantle a home. No matter what Karen was helping me with she was never far from Mom checking on her to make sure she was comfortable and happy.
When I made the decision to call in Hospice, Karen once again was a lifesaver. Both Karen and I requested instruction from the Hospice nurses regarding the upgraded care we now had to administer to Mom. While I had appointments to keep with professionals associated with my Mothers estate, I never had any qualms about leaving my Mom in Karens care, even toward the last days of her life when she was not as comfortable as she once was. Karen did whatever was needed and always before anything became a crisis.
My confidence in Karen is so high that when I needed to return to Iowa, I asked Karen to remain in Mom's home to help me dispose of her belongings. I I trust her completely and my siblings do as well.
This ordeal of saying good-bye to my Mother ended up being an uplifting experience due mainly to the support, assistance and friendship of Karen Roffe. In one word, she was STELLAR. GRATEFUL IN IOWA
