Electric Mobility/Rascal Scooters Paying up front, Internet

I have had a power wheelchair from this company for almost 3 years and have been experiencing problems with them.

When I needed new batteries, I called to let them know that my chair was not holding a charge again, ok, we will send a tech out to look at it. No one showed up. I called them again and they said that I would have to pay $89 each for two new batteries up front and Medicare would reimburse me for the cost.

I am NOT going to pay up front for something that I've never had to pay for in the past. It was still under warranty at the time,  then to be told that I would have to pay upfront for the batteries. Noooo, I am not paying up front for something I may never see, I'm not stupid, both Medicare and Medicaid paid for this equipment. I got fed up.
 
I called a local medical supply store and they refered me to a place that would do it and I have not had to pay for anything yet to this day and age. I also contacted one of my local t.v. news channels about this and they gave me information to CMS Medicare office and got the problem worked out, thankfully. 

I can not do a lot of things any more due to my spinal stenosis and scoliosis and sometimes it is a chore to just walk 2 miles to use the public transportation, even with a walker. I am trying to make this chair last as long as possible because I just cannot push it anymore when it doesn't work right. 

I don't know where I'm going to be able to find a more reputable company without all the problems of ripoffs when it comes time to get a new chair. It is so hard to trust anything and anyone with durable medical equipment. By the way....Medicare DOES pay for these chairs and scooters. Kepp pushing them and contact your congressman's/woman's office and find the right person to help you cut through the red tape.
