Frigidaire offered two rebates earlier in 2010 for purchasers of their Professional Series appliances.  One rebate form directed a submission to Del Rio, TX for a prepaid Visa card rebate; the other directed a submission to Columbus, OH for a cash rebate.  This second cash rebate was offered in connection with a participating retailer, in this case, Brandsmart in Florida.  As you can see in reviewing an identical, more current rebate form under the same program via this link, (http://www.brandsmartusa.com/Repository/Rebates/2362.PDF), this rebate form, similar to the one I submitted, does not have a phone number to check on the status, only the website address www.frigidaire.com at the bottom of the form.  The other, for the prepaid Visa rebate, provided both a phone number and a website address for the outfit handling the rebate for Frigidaire.  In trying to determine the status of the cash rebate, the Del Rio center referred me back to the retailer who referred me to Frigidaire who referred me back to the retailer.  This diversion and run around is clearly perpetrated by Frigidaire, the creator and funder of the rebate.  The fact that the cash rebate form has no contact information other than the Frigidaire website is both curious and telling as to who is ultimately responsible and how difficult checking on the rebate submission is designed into the form.  While it remains unclear as to whether the cash rebate was ever rec'd or will ever be paid, the very fact that I as a consumer have had to contact so many entities, all of who point to someone else for the answer, is absurd and should be a source of great concern to those at Electrolux/Frigidaire who care about customer loyalty or the integrity of their brand.
