Electronic Arts Corporation (EA GAMES) ripoff,account closed,bad debt,rebate Redwood California

EA = Corporate Criminals

Hey, did you know that EA are also criminals? Oh yes. They shipped out Rebate coupons with SimCity 4 Rush Hour... and didn't honor them.

I've filed with the Better Business Bureau and am looking into filing charges against them. Would be hard to convict though as they are listed on the NYSE, meaning most their stock will be owned by government institutions Our loving Government certainly won't convict one of their investments would they?

I received a rebate check for $10 for buying one of their games (Sim City Rush Hour). I received a check back from them 12 weeks later. I deposited the check into my bank account and mysteriously the check bounced and I had to repay the pank $10 for the bad rebate check and another $25 for the fee's associated with this bad rebate check. The bank stated the rebate checks account was closed. How can a rebate check from a profitable (NYSE)Business had closed there account. This is obviously fradulent. When I contacted EA they said they can at any time cancel a rebate account or promotion for any reason. That was it... I was out $35 and EA is too big a company to care. so here's the info:

EA Sucks
Clint talked about EA's decision to not support XBox Live. This isn't really new news, but it reminded me of how irritated I am at EA. EA has their own online infrastructure they use for their games, and they don't want to give up that on the xbox to use Microsoft's servers.

They have their own servers, because Playstation2's Online stuff is administered by the developers rather than Sony itself. To me, this is an awful system, because not only does it allow for dialup users, it also means quality from game to game might be less than one that has to be approved by Microsoft.

Back to EA. This is the first step in EA stepping away from the XBOX. Those Dreamcast lovers out there will remember that EA refused to back that system. What came from it was the 2k series from Sega & Visual Concepts. In my opinion, almost all Visual Concepts games are better than EA's offerings (besides Madden. No one touches Madden).

Once EA realizes that no one is buying their games on the XBox, they will leave the platform all together. I don't buy any EA games when I am desiring XBox Live support. In fact, if Microsoft Links is better than Tiger Woods 2004, I will definitely be buying it instead.
