Elite Business Finance, LLC This company will do nothing but take your money! Salt Lake City Utah

My company went to Elite Business Finance, LLC for an equipment loan. We were looking to buy a new trailer. We were sent the loan application and we filled it out. After recieving our completed application we were informed that we were approved for the loan. 

After being approved we were asked to send the check for the down payment on our new piece of equipment. This check was for over $3,000. They instructed us to send it via express mail, so they would get it by the next day. When they notified us that our check had been recieved, we were then asked to send in our last 4 months bank statements. They claimed it had to be done before we were approved. That made no sense to us, but we did it anyway. We were desperate for a new trailer. 

After sending the bank statements, they continued to ask for more information so they could approve out loan. We then decided to go with another loan company. After informing Elite of this, they said we would receive a refund check in the mail soon. This was over a month ago. After numerous attempts to contact them via email and phone, we finally got in touch with someone yesterday. 

We were informed that if we went to our lawyers or anyone else about the problems we were having then they would "red-ball" us with all financial institutions and that we would not recieve our refund. We are a small company and $3,000 can do a lot for us. Unfortunately they refuse to contact us any further. We were told that we were harassing their company and we were asked to stop. 

I have checked multiple websites this week and seen that they are accredited by the BBB. On the BBB website I saw nothing but complaints about this company. All of the complaints told this same story. They were approved for the loan, they sent in the down payment, and they never got their money or the loan that was promised. Someone needs to do something about this. Why are they accredited when all the reports claim it is nothing but a scam.
