We purchased Club Intrawest Points when it still owned Whistler/Blackcomb.  Their places are all nice appointed and maintained for the most part.  When we purchased our points we were told, and it is in the closing documents. that they would buy back out points for what we paid for them if at any time we wanted out.  Now, 18 years later they have not only sold out of Whistler/Blackcomb but have sold the entire package to something called Diamond Properties in Las Vegas who, we have been notified, has been sold to someone.  Even before selling to Diamond Properties it was getting more and more difficult to book vacation time.  We believe that they have oversold memberships and would love to get a class action suite against them but not sure how to do such a thing.

Last year they purchased a property in Ucluelet, BC.  We were finally able to get time there and upon arriving noticed that the unit below us and another unit at the end had dogs.  Club Intrawest does not allow dogs and in fact can receive a fine for bringing one. So no one would or could tell me how it was that these folks, who booked through an online condo site, could bring their dogs.

As for the selling back the points.  It turns out that they put you in a pool where your number never comes up.  We have been in that pool for 4 years already and it is my understanding that they have not had the means to purchase any during that time.
