This mortgage company promises quick no hassel mortgages. Not So! A week before closing the said all was fine and there should be no problems with closing on time. Two days before closing, I was informed there was an error on a tax return I submitted. I corrected it and provided proof of filing the corrected return. Not Good Enough. They want a DCN number from the IRS. Trouble is, you cannot get a DCN number on an amended return. Whoops - they would not accept proof from local IRS office and now it looks like they will just refuse to close to I receive a letter from IRS confirming receipt of the return (6-8 weeks). So I am getting a bridge loan from my bank and will use another mortgage company. Be very careful of this company and I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your financing! They are completely unresponsive and even refuse to let me talk to the underwriter who is calling these awful shots.
