Emergency Business Funding Refused to refund fees without additional pressure West Jordan Utah

I had been looking to acquire start up funds for a company and was contacted by Emergency Business Funding.  I was very eager to get funded and the representative was very eager to help me.  I didn't think twice about paying the $239 fee.  

When I was sent the email to sign up for a credit reporting company and told to provide my username and password so they could obtain my report, I began to get suspicious of their business practices.  Some digging around and I found out a lot of information about the company- a lot of it right here on Ripoff Report.

I took some time to read over the agreement that I had signed and found out how exactly to request a refund and the time frame I had to do it in.  Constantly calling the company finally led me to being able to make contact with someone to request a refund.  Everything was processed quickly and submitted.  The agent that processed my refund had informed me that it would take up to a week to see the refund.

I had a suspicion that the credit would not be processed, so I waited for the time period to pass that my financial institution advised me they needed before they could formally dispute the charge.  When that time had passed, I had to get my financial institution involved.  It seems to me that it was the intention of Emergency Business Funding to "overlook" processing the credit.

My advise would be to make sure you do your due dillegence before getting involved with this company.  If you are already involved with them, read your agreement and hold them accountable by their own terms and conditions of service.  If you are eligible for a refund, request one and immediately contact the institution that manages the account you used (checking or credit card or whatever) and make sure they get copies of everything (email correspondence and signed agreements) and follow their guidelines for disputing a transaction.  Avoid contacting the company or reporting the company until your institution has obtained the refund on your behalf.
