Emmerton Resource Management Group SCAM, RIPOFF... BEWARE!! Mississauga Ontario

I received a call from a Thomas Goodrich that I was approved for a loan in the amount of $10,000.00. I was then told that I needed to secure the loan by wiring $900.00 by MoneyGram. I faxed Mr. Goodrich my banking information, a copy of my SS Card and Drivers Lic. I even faxed him a copy of my 2005 W2.

The money was to be wired to a Michael Cole in Mississauga Canada. I wired the money the next day and I was then informed that the money was sent to Mississauga, California, USA and not Canada. I then re-wired the money and was told to tell MoneyGram that the money was being sent for personal reasons not business. After talking to a MoneyGram agent, they told me that they don't wire business transfers but only wire personal that is why Mr. Goodrich told me to tell them it was personal. About 2 hours later I called Mr. Goodrich and was informed that the money was received and my policy was to be issued and I would receive my money within 24 to 48 hours. This of course was on Friday, March 5 and as of today, Thursday, March 9, I have yet to receive the money.

Mr. Goodrich faxed me a doucment that was supposedly a "legal loan agreement" and it looked and seemed so real at the time that I signed it and faxed it back. After I did not receive the money in my account, I called Mr. Goodrich. The first call sent me to his voicemail and the second call did the same. I waited until about 5 p.m. and called, and wouldn't you know, the number was not in service. I called Mr. Goodrich and told him that he was a scamer and that I wanted my $900.00 refunded today or else. Mr. Goodrich then laughed at me and said he would send me a refund ASAP and then hung up in my ear. I called him right back and told him I was going to the police and he told me to do what I wanted too.

I am a 25 year old graduate student that is in need of a new vehicle to travel to work and school. It is a shame that people can get away with things like this. The Emerton Resource Group and MR. Goodrich need to be stopped!!!! I am ashamed to say that for the past 2 days I have been leaving nasty messages on his voicemail, but it makes me feel a lot better to express myself that way because I am so hurt about loosing some of the money that I had saved up. I have called the FTC-Federal Trade Commisssion and also the 3 major credit bureaus in order to protect myself. I filed a police report and I have even changed my bankig information.

PLEASE, do not fall victim to this. These people are horrible and they will pay for what they have done to me!!!
