EMG Inc. is misleading with incompetent recruiting practices. In my first interview, my interviewer Brandon explained that the company markets products from Sears and Home Depot. He asked me what I look for in a company and I told him I was looking for a salary position with benefits. They called me back later in the day for a second interview where I get to job shadow them for 3 hours.

On the day of my second interview, I signed a contract agreeing that I would not get paid or recieve any benefits. There was not a spot to fill an emergency contact information in case an accident occurred. I met Mallory, the person I was going to job shadow. I got into her car and we drove to the field area but I wasn't sure if the area was going to be commercial or residential.

While we drove, she asked me alot of questions about what I know about marketing and the company. She kept emphazising the growth of the company and how they were looking for people with management potential. She explained how everybody starts out at the bottom and work their way up earning only commission pay. Once we got to our destination, I knew this position wasn't for me. We were in a nieghborhood and Mallory asked me if I would be comfortable selling door-to-door. I told her no because I already done this with another company. Both of us were glad we got this cleared up before we both wasted our time and she drove me back to the office immediately.

As we drove back, I asked her how long she has been with the company and she said just a month. Wow, just a month and she's part of the recruiting process already. A newbie who only been with the company for a month, posing as an expert, and participating in the recruiting process is shocking. The job shadow did not last more than 30 minutes.

From my interview experience, I can honestly say EMG Inc. is misleading with incompetence. I do not know if this company is a scam because I have not been with the company long enough to know for sure. Brandon, whom I first interviewed, was not straightforward with me in explaining that the entry-level position was 100% commission based through door-to-door sales. If he and company policies would been blunt with me in the first place, Mallory and I would not have wasted our time.

Futhermore, their website is misleading. Having read their website, they seem to be this sophisticated innovative company with unique marketing strategies but in reality, they are just the traditional typical door-to-door marketing company. In my opinion, any company with a fast track to management is highly deceitful.

It's True-Smart Circle International Empire Marketing Group Inc (Denver), Valor Marketing (Phoenix), and a branch in Milwaukee

AUTHOR: JohnnyBGood - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, July 30, 2010

Angela Lowery, Empire Marketing Group INC, is the devil female incarnate. Let me be clear-this is not technically a SCAM. That being said, the whole MLM business model they utilize violates every ethical code in the book. While Door-Door can be an effective selling tool, walking around for 8 hours in blizzards or 100 degree desert heat getting paid commissions that your Manager's so choose to give you at the end of the week is demoralizing and obtuse. Smart Circle preys off of naive people with empty rhetoric and promises.  I lost exorbitant amounts of time and money and relationships "investing in my business". You've got to be able to lie to good-natured people to their face over and over. You've got to be willing to lose tens of thousands of dollars at the prospect of maybe, just maybe, making tens of thousands of dollars. This company has had over 3 million "employees, independent contractors, slaves, etc" since it's inception. How many big names do you hear of people who have really made it and are really making 6 figures? less than 20. That's like .00006%. Like those odds? Willing to work 80 hour weeks and possibly make nothing? Like bothering people at their homes after they get home from work? Enjoy being psychologically manipulated? Like ringing cowbells and banging gongs if you set up people for a high-pressure sales meeting? Smart Circle International and any of it's affiliates that operate in the thousands across the nation, managers coming and going, failing and failing, being just as manipulated as Account Managers and Distributors were-these jobs are the easiest things to find and they hire tards too. Pardon my callousness...
