I buy stuff online regularly and don't fall for the get-rich-instantly traps as I don't believe in it. I was planning to setup a new site/blog on technology and the ad I saw talked about how to get more traffic to one's website and generate revenue. There was nothing sinister in this as there are zillion books on search engine optimisation techniques. So I bought the ebook/CD for $1.97 (which is not unusual as I do buy e-books for that kind of price often).
I did not receive any e-book/CD. All I received was an e-mail with my username and password which never worked. I got busy and forgot about all this, until recently when my bank called me about a suspicious transaction. The money was already taken and the bank had called me the next day.
I called the eMillionaire customer support. The lady said she'll put in a request for refund, but refused to send an e-mail confirmation. Instead, she asked me to go to http://www.productcustomersupport.com/ and log a e-ticket, which I did. No e-mail. I sent an e-mail to support@emillionaire.com site explaining my case and asking them to cancel any subscription and refund my money. They replied saying they'll review the request to find out if it is valid as per their terms...
My bank says I need to wait for 7 days (which is what the eMillionaire lady said would take) for the refund request to be processed. If they don't put the money back, I need to contact the bank to dispute it. I am not sure how this dispute process works.... Do the banks have the right to take money back from eMillionaire account and put it bank into mine? How do we prove to the bank that the transaction was not genuine... I guess eMillionaire will bring out a small print somewhere to show that they had informed of this. I searched all their sites and have downloaded their policies/terms... and nowhere does it talk about the 33.x money that they'll charge every month....

Got my money back!

Hi,
Further to my earlier posting, I received an e-mail from emillionaire late last week saying that my refund was approved. I did not believe it, but thought I'd give it a few days before contacting my bank to dispute the original claim. I saw 30.84 put back into my account today (the 3 less might be due to the exchange rate changes...). Hope many of you get yours back too.
Regards,
Egglet
