Empire Jewelers I was offered the lowest price in town for my gold. I was very disappointed by there low offer. Douglasville, Georgia

I checked the net to see who offered the best price for gold jewelry in my area. An Empire Jewelers ad popped up advertising that they offered the highest prices in town for gold. I decided to call--After being assured by an agent named Rex that I would get the best/highest price for my gold I drove over to make the deal (from Atlanta to Douglasville).

I arrived at the Empire Jewelers Douglasville location which turned out to be 17 miles from my home. I was greeted by the same agent Rex I talked with on the phone. He took my gold necklace weighed it and performed a gold test. He then offered me what turned out to be the lowest gold price in town. I was shocked at the low-ball offer. I asked: "Are you sure this is the best you can offer" he smiled and stated "Yep this is the best and highest offer." I took my neckless and quickly exited the store. I drove to a nearby pawn shop and they offered me 33% more for my gold than Empire Jewelers.
