I hired Empire Movers to move my 4 bedroom house. I spoke to Dave on phone and asked him to take a look at the stuff before he quoted his price and before deciding which size of truck would my stuff fit in.

I asked him about insurance and would he wrap my stuff in blankets/bubble wrap etc to move it. He told me no need for him to walk through as he has lots of experience and he also assured me that he has all the required insurance and his guys are really good.

I also checked his references..I believe it was one of his friend/family member who said all good things about him. As soon as I hanged up after talking to his references, Davey called..that should have been a red flag.

The movers came 4 hrs late then the schedule time. 3 guys came who had no clue where they are going and what are they doing. They did not wrap any of my stuff in Blankets or Bubble wrap. They dented our walls and broke few things.

They loaded only 60% of my stuff and left the rest. I was so dissapointed and frustrated but could not do anything. I called him on the phone but he did not return the calls. Since the move was 200 miles ways only 2 guys came in the truck..one was the driver and one other guy.

After a long day and drive those 2 guys were exhausted to move my stuff in. I had heavy wooden DR/FR/LR/Study room sets and it was impossible for these 2 guys to move. They struggled to move heavy stuff and made many dents in my new house. They finally finished moving our stuff till 1 am in the morning the next day. They did not assemble many of the furniture.

My sofa was ripped. My wooden Bedroom furniture, Expensive dining room furniture and Living room furniture all had major scraches and dents (As they did not wrap any of the furniture). We took photos of all.

When I complaint to him, he used foul language, accused me of sending him wrong pictures and accused me of lying. I asked him to pay me for my damages as he had insurance..on that he gave some excuse. My damages were minimum $1000+, he finally agreed to pay me $200...which he never did.

He does not return the calls and does not answer the email..he is Big FRAUD, DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I had to hire another mover spend more $$ and get rest of my stuff moved. It was a NIGHTMARE. If you want to hire a mover do yourself a big favor and save yourself big headache by hiring a very professional moving company..do not even think of hiring Empire Movers.
