Empire Roofing is the ambulance chasers of the roofing industry.  The company has a fast talking salesman the follows storms throughout North and South Carolina looking for any signs of roofing damage to businesses or upper end housing.  If you do not live in at least a semi-affluant neighborhood, I would not expect you to get a visit from this company.  

The salesman (Brian) will say that they will give you a free estimate and guarantee of at least 95% in getting your insurance company to replace your entire roof.  He will show you a "contract" and explain all the great things they will do. He will not explain that this is a contract. DO NOT sign this paper without getting AT LEAST two other estimates. Chances are your insurance company will authorize more money for the roofing project than most legitimate roofing companies would charge. 

If you sign the paper the salesman gives you, then Empire Roofing will keep the ENTIRE insurance check. In my case this was $4000 more than other companies from the Statesville area would have charged. Also the company employs mostly undocumented aliens, which as Brian so eliquently put it, "take fewer and less lengthly breaks" than do American workers. In the last two years, this company has had 3 BBB complaints, however the reasons are not given on the BBB website. 

Although I cannot comment as yet to the workmanship of the company, to my knowledge, my roof has not leaked since the work was accomplished.
