Employment Select: To Verify What Others Have Said On "ripoff".... Legit company? Not as I see it! Newark New York

For a few weeks now, I have been getting calls on my unlisted cell phone from 626-520-0695. I finally traced the CELL number to Employment Select, in Newark (Manhatten area), NY. I never answer my phone if I don't recognize a phone #; and I never open an e-mail I don't recognize either! The person calling must be a "work from home" employee. It is not a land line.

I ran the company through google and found "ripoff" reports. I checked "ripoff" and found the 2 complaints on this company, so I called this company back from another phone today. One that is on a large rotary of numbers to make it unlikely their calls could be returned; certainly not to anyone in specific. I wanted them to get my phone number OFF their call list, as I have it listed with the National DNC Registry. And so long as I am flipping the bill, I do not appreciate anyone wasting my minutes!

Of Course, I know I will have to give them the number to get it off. But from what I have read so far, it just doesn't seem to matter what I ask, they probably will not remove it.

Here's the rub...I have NEVER applied for a job online! I have NEVER applied through a job fair! I have NEVER applied for a job through ANY KIND of temporary/temp to perm job service! Not in my 51 years on earth. Also, I have held only 3 jobs in my life. If I had not moved across the USA, I would still have the 1st job. My second lasted 14 years. When he died, the family shut down everything for the cash from the sale of real estate and equipment.

In fact, I just celebrated my 15th year anniversary at my current (3rd)company, where I am the ONLY staff member trained and cross trained in Accounting and IT work, under direct supervision of the CPA, CFO and CEO. Our business is booming in this poor economy as we have a corner on the market, so to speak. Consumers are trying to keep costs at home down, and we provide every day use products that significantly reduce electric bills. A huge savings monthly when people are struggling to put food on the table. I have no worries about downsizing or losing my job sicne we have always run on a modest staff to begin with. I am secure right where I am at. And I make a fair wage with more bene's than most have ever offered.
I have NOT even applied for a job in at least 15 years; and the last was this one I have now!

Within minutes of getting off the phone with these creeps, I had 4 junk e-mails in my box. All from "jobs" this and "jobs" that or "go back to school now", "we'll reimburse tuition", blah, blah and blah.

So tell me...if this company is legit, WHY are they burdening me with this harrassment when I have NEVER even filed an application for employment?

I suspect they are buying cell phone lists from the cell carriers for the purpose of soliciting online services. This would explain why they want my cell carriers name; which I refused.

I fear I am in for a long battle with junk mail and unknown callers. Like I don't get enough now.
