My husband noticed a charge on the American Express bill that had been recurring as a charge to my card on the account for several months and asked me what it was. I had no idea and started to investigate.
I called the contact number for the company that was listed on the credit card bill. Four times I tried and four times I was cut off after being told I was to be transferred to a customer service representative. My next step was to contact American Express.
I was on the line for approximately an hour with a wonderful customer service representative who worked with me to file a fraud report and initiated an investigation by American Express. While on the line with me the representative went to the Bad Business Bureau website while I went to the Ripoff Report website. We both located much information concerning the scam this company is running.
The Amex representative included much of the information she and I found on the websites we visited in her report to the fraud division. I am hopeful somehing will be done to stop this company from what it's doing.

I bought something via the phone off t.v. BIG MISTAKE. they grabbed my debit card info from there and have been billing me for months too. I did not notice it until June whenthey charged me 4X in 1 month. THEN it popped out to me.
I am SO ANGRY! I have read hundreds of these and can only assume THOUSANDS of people have been taken by Encore Marketing scam.
I URGE YOU to please file a formal complaint with the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION (FTC) at 1-877-382-4357 They are very nice and need more of us to file so they can take real action.
ALSO file a formal complaint with your state's attorney generals office, they can go after them too.
LET'S GET THEM WHERE THEY GOT US....IN THE WALLET!
I hope to gather more info on how to get a class action lawsuit against them.
This is STEALING and I am sure they have made millions off us,
Time to stop them.
PLEASE take action. It only takes a few moments.
