If you are contacted by a sales rep. from this company RUN.  This is the most deceptive company I have ever worked for.  They hire thousand of Reps a year let them go sell the businesses they have friends or relatives at then send them on bogus leads.  The customers get signed up and then there hidden fees kick in and you cant cancel without major penalty....

The TEAM leaders will get on the phone with the customer and tell every lie in the world to get them to sign up with you and then none of there promises are true.  They get customers into a 48 month lease for around 60 bucks telling them to try it for 60 days well you cant cancel.  You can only cancel the processing not the lease so customers are stuck paying 60 bucks a month for 48 months for a nurit 8400 that can be purchased brand new online for under 300 dollars.

I am telling you run if this company comes calling they are a pack of thieves dressed in sheeps clothing!!!!!

#5 Consumer Suggestion

READ WHAT YOU SIGN

AUTHOR: Chelsea Albert - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 25, 2010

There is nothing deceptive about this company. They put all of their terms and conditions in writing and are visible and in plain sight. Anyone complaining about Encore-Prodigy-Momentum being liars either cannot read or is trying to seek sympathy for a situation brought upon themselves.

They not only provide documentation that the lease is NON-CANCEL ABLE, but they also verbally confirm it with you. As a business owner you should read everything you sign, no matter how "busy" you are. Because I assume you would take the same actions with your contracts and agreements with your customers.

Okay here some updates

AUTHOR: Richard - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 06, 2010

I have worked their system for 2 days

I'm am sure this company is ethical however they are following a business

model which is common in the past within the industry, but things do change

At one time leasing most likely was considered standard in the industry

I spent a couple of days presenting the offer to local businesses and I did not

have one single take on their offer with a irresistible company offer towards

business owners.

What i experienced was a incredibly competitive field with the business owners

consistently bombarded with offers from the competition, this is an extremely

competitive market

However things do change and leasing has been updated, purchase your own

equipement, infact www.charge.com offers those services for $10 a month

with much lower rates followed by a incredibly fast growing processor in the field.

Business owners are receiving easily a couple of offers a month, at least in this

area, in some areas encore business model may work very well, but not here.

Their gift card and incentive offers to increase revenue, I agree is very good,

and this was my goal, to really help the merchants out

Now the preset leads, I agree, they are presold the the rep wil stop by tomorrow

but when you get out there, the quality is very questionable.. could have just

been the couple I got, I still couldn't even begin to get my foot in the door this

industry is so competitive out here, not one single offer with easily 100 presentations.

Their business model may work well for some, but not out here.  What their

business model is based on the old fashioned lease rates and industry standard

which may be perfectly ethical, YET it's extremely competitve and add in technology

changes within the industry, I agree business owners are smart people.

So yes, it's a super competitve field and the option now exists needing to do all

transactions right over your computer with super bargin rates at a unbelievable

rate that's impossible to beat.

However, I do agree, their loyalty, gift card, incentive program is really good, I

do believe that has good potential to increase revenue, the credit card processing

side, at least out here, it appears all business owners have seen it all and know

very well what's out there, believe me with a steady stream lets of lots of

competition bombarding them, no market exists.  I have no idea of regarding

other markets locations, just out here, it's incredibly competitve.  Thanks

Ethical? You Got To Be Kidding

AUTHOR: Ray At Tampabay Merchant Services - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 05, 2010

This company pushes leasing credit card terminals, regardless if you need it or not.  Most of the time you do not need it.  The reason is because of the big commissions the leasing company pays them.  In their standard rebuttal they state ethical sales approach.  If they were so ethical then they would not lease terminals for over 4 times their value.  After the lease is completed typically 48 months, if you remember to stop the lease, you still have to buy out the lease to own the terminal.  Answer that one Encore!

OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE COMMITMENT

AUTHOR: Encore payment systems - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 15, 2010

Encore Payment Systems takes pride in providing excellent customer service and an ethical sales approach. We strive for complete customer satisfaction in our day-to-day interactions and in our overall customer relationships. We provide services for tens of thousands of relationships every day and although we try, some of our customers are not completely satisfied with every decision.

We are committed, however, to working with our customers and all independent sales representatives to resolve any and all concerns. We cannot, however, address issues that are not brought to our attention. Anonymous blogs and comments on the internet are difficult to address due to the lack of information and the indirect communication style employed. Therefore, if you have any questions or concerns we ask you to please contact our Customer Resolution Team and allow us an opportunity to address your issues by calling us directly at 866-808-4621 or cs@encoreps.com.

Please help us improve our communication on all levels by calling us immediately if you have any concerns whatsoever. If you have already tried to address your concerns and did not get the result you had hoped for, please call us ONE more time. OUR COMMITMENT to you is to LISTEN to you and make every effort to favorably resolve your situation, whether you are a merchant or an independent sales representative. Your concerns are OUR concerns.
