Bought a 4 plex that had 2 rental water heaters installed. I have owned many places with rentals from other companies and usually I send them back with little to no charge.
I called EnerCare on closing day to cancel the rentals and have the units returned. Enercare promptly let me know that cancellation is not an option. The only option is to buy them out. These water heaters were electric and they retail for about $249.00 each. EnerCare wanted $850 each to end this already 2 year old contract!
I asked them when the contract was ending, the answer was amazing... "The end of the usable service life of the water heater"
Why would anyone do business with them? Over priced low quality equipment, poor installation, NEVER ENDING contracts. These heaters will end up costing over $1800.00 each minimum at the end of their service life.
This is insane - Be warned - DON'T DEAL WITH THIS MESS OF A COMPANY.
