This company said they would advertise our company for a very reasonable price, we paid them for the ad FOR THE WHOLE YEAR plus a small set up fee and we sent them the ad we wanted them to use.

Several months later they charged us AGAIN for the same ad!

Every time we have called them all we get is the run around.

We have turned this over to our attorneys and are considering criminal and possible a class action suit. We know of one other person in town who was ripped off by them last year, they think a couple hundred dollars is such a small amount people just will look over it, and just write it off. We are a new company and a small company and cannot afford to just
look the other way.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! IT IS A SCAM!!

This Report is Completely Untrue

AUTHOR: Sebastian Elliot - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, March 27, 2011

This complaint against Enlighten Interactive, LLC (EI) is complete fiction; invented, baseless, malicious and untrue.

-EI does not solicit advertising work of any kind and never has.  Moreover, no individual or company has ever paid EI to place ads on any media.  One look at enlighteninteractive.com (clearly not the website put up by the complainer) would reveal to anyone, that a password protected website is not from a company seeking customer business.

-EI is a cost center.  It has, to date, never issued a single invoice or made a sale.  It has never had a single client or customer.  The company's central focus is to develop a methodology (which is currently patent-pending) which we hope will one day be used by multi-national corporations to allow them to better understand why their customers respond to interactive media.

-No complaint has ever been received by the EI, in writing or by telephone.  This makes sense, as no service has ever been undertaken by EI.

-Apart from anything else, the complainer's report lacks any credibility, as it provides no client name, no company name, no town, no city, no state and doesn't even specify a country where this fictional transaction is supposed to have taken place.

-Further, there is no date of any purported invoice, no invoice number, or purported communication, and finally no detail of any kind has been provided.  The reason for this lack of detail is that there has never been such a transaction.

-As a consequence of this false, and malicious posting, we have lodged a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Connecticut Attorney Generals' Office (where EI is located), the Arizona Attorney Generals' Office (where The Bad Business Bureau, LLC is located, owner of ripoffreport.com), the Better Business Bureau and ripoffreport.com itself.

-It is clear from ripoffreport.com's stated policy that ripoffreport.com will not remove these false statements (they admit that they, themselves, do not verify their truth or accuracy) from their website without EI (or someone else) paying them $2,500 in 'arbitration' fees, and then winning an arbitration, presumably set up and arbitrated by themselves.

-Unsurprisingly, many companies have accused the The Bad Business Bureau of placing false accusations against innocent companies in an effort to "extort" this fee from them.  (You may care to read the story: (((Redacted)))

-It is also noteworthy that EI has been approached by at least one company that has offered to remove/hide the report for a fee.  It is odd that they found an email address for EI not specified in the report.  It is not clear whether this company is also owned by, or associated with, the Bad Business Bureau.

-According to the Better Business Bureau, there have been over 40 separate complaints lodged against the Bad Business Bureau; the vast majority of which assert that malicious, defamatory and false content has been posted against their companies on ripoffreport.com.  At this time, the Arizona Better Business Bureau have explained that the Bad Business Bureau have never responded to any of the numerous complaints forwarded to them by their office.  The Bad Business Bureau have also been sued several times over such issues.

-We look forward to receiving an apology and retraction of the defamatory statement.
