Entergy Entergy cutting off electric and not working with us due to a family member having a stroke and short of cash till October 4th Baton Rouge Louisiana

I am writing in about Entergy Electric and how they treat customers that are in a finical bind. My wife called and asked for an extension due to me being in the hospital. See I had a small stroke and this left us short on cash due to where we live and having to drive too Little Rock for treatment. My wife called and requested an extension for just 5 days (9/29/2014 to 10/03/2014) until she gets paid and was told by Entergy that they would put in a cut off notice as she could not pay the bill today 9/29/2014.I called and was meet with the same type of conversation.

I request a supervisor and was told by the service rep she would put in the request and a supervisor would call me back in 24 to 48 hours which by that time our electric could be cut off. I cannot be in the heat since my stroke as it causes reactions to my face and arm and on top of that we have an 8 year old son that has to be able to complete his homework daily. I for the life of me cannot understand why a company cannot allow a few more days in which we will pay the $111.18. After reading the reports and see how others are treated I don't see why Entergy is allowed to operate in the state of Arkansas if this is how they truly treat people.

P.S. On a better note I was able after 4 different phone calls to Entergy to get a hold of a gentleman that was located in Mississippi in one of their call centers who got a specialist involved and was able to get us and extension. Thank you Seth for all your help this company needs more like you working for them as you take care of the customers and help us out when we need you the most.
