We contacted Tom Goupil off his internet site where he promised a money back garantee to help our son with his problems with bedwetting. As anyone can imagine, this issue was emotional for our son, and we were hopeful after starting the program that we were on our way to a cure for him.

After three months of following all instructions and providing all required data, Tom Goupil stopped returning our calls and e-mails. My husband tried leaving messages and still we received no response. After numerous times phone calls and messages I thought perhaps he went out of business. However, he is still in business and doing to other families what he did to us -- taking our money, doing the job for a short time, and then refusing to continue the contract.

We have not received any money back from our over $500.00 payments. We were lied to, told that our insurance company would pay for the fees but our insurance company told us he provided us with bogus codes and it is not at all a claim insurance can reimburse us for.

We have now decided to work with another company -- actually a real sleep disorder clinic. We will be paying a lot more money but it is well worth it to help our son. This clinic has actually heard of Tom Goupil, as many other people have called them for help and told them of the "sleep disorder clinic" that is taking money from trusing families.

The Sleep Disorder Research Center has corrected thousands of children who suffer from regular night time bedwetting. We first do an evaluation to make sure the problem is caused by a deep sleep disorder, then enroll the child into the program for correction. Our web page plainly defines our guarantee for those who enroll into our program. The guarantee plainly says that if we do not get this corrected, or make progress in 12 months, we offer the family a refund. This particular case has not even gone the 12 months and has complained about our guarantee. We do not "drop" anyone from our program as the parent has suggested. Our desire is to get the child dry. Every case is different, and is treated on an individual basis. Some children are corrected in as little as 4 months, some take longer. We explain all this to the parent before enrollment takes place. Also, the parent has to follow the instructions as they are sent. Instructions are sent as the reports come in from the parent. If the parent does not send in the reports in a timely manner, we can only wait and instruct as the reports get to the Center. We are here to help this family, not "drop" them. If their child is still wetting, I suggest they contact the Center, send in the reports, and follow the instructions. We will work with this family to get their child dry. If the child is no longer wetting, then something we have done has worked.

As I mentioned earlier, we have corrected thousands of children over many years of service. Obviously every case is not successful. We also explain this to the family before they enroll. We have about a 97% success rate. So we have a complaint from this family. We will help them get their child dry. We haven't dropped them. The complaints are rare. The solutions to the complaints are available.

Maybe I should use this forum to complain about all the families that do not do their part, or do not pay as they agree. We even get children dry when the parents do not make payments to the Center. It is the child we are concerned with and care about. They cannot help that they wet the bed. It is not their fault. If a parent wants their child dry we can help. If a parent does not follow through with our program, we cannot help.
