I signed up for Envie Anti Wrinkle Cream's offer of free product sample, only paying shipping charges of 4.95.
I filled out form for cream, gave all information including credit card # and verified then when I went to hit accept, a box popped up that said I'd get Alesse Ageless eye serum sample as well, the box closed and that was it.
It seems strange to me so I pulled up my credit card and saw 2 charges of 4.95. I DID NOT WANT THE ALESSE PRODUCT, so I tried calling the phone number on the web page, no one answered, went straight to a voice mail where I left a message.
The next day, no call back so I tried again, left another message and then sent an email.
I received both products in the mail.
I DID NOT TRY EITHER. Now fearful that I've been scammed, maybe this product is not safe as well.
I CALLED AGAIN and again and FINALLY after many attempts, I end up in some foreign country clearly in a call center where I cannot understand the person barely at all. She pretends to not understand me. I ask for supervisor/manager/owner/parent? no one available. Finally she agrees to refund me 4.95.
It never happened.
Cannot get through again after several attempts.
3 weeks later (right at Christmas) I receive an email from my bank called an "ALERT". It is for this company and questionable charges. I pull up my account. I received two charges of $60 on my credit card. Yes, $120. Right at Christmas. I call my bank and report them as fraudulent. They are familiar with this unethical "company". I did not see a refund for days so I called Envie and actually got an answer. I informed the person (once again overseas and once again a very strong accent) that I reported them to the BBB and that I would be part of a class action lawsuit to put them out of business. The woman says she can refund 20%. I argue more, threaten more, it goes to 50%, then more and more threats and complaints of publically smearing them and it goes to 100% less shipping charges and then it goes to 100% after I told them my bank would be pressing charges.
The bank put a stop on them from ever taking money out of my account again (I did not have to pay for this). The bank is aware of them as being scam artists. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CON MEN. Yes, they'lll just change names and start another business to screw Americans and other humans to steal their money.
FIGHT THE FIGHT people. Do not accept this.
