I received an e-mail from my librarian for a deal for teachers on a laptop from epcparts. Others in my building and school district had ordered from epcparts and seemed satisfied. On October 7, 2003 I called epc parts to order the Laptop 1700 P series. This included a 2.0 Intel Processor, 256 MB SD RAM, CD rewritable and DVD combo, wireless ready, 20 GB hard Drive upgradeable to 40 GB, Sound Card and Video Card, 15.1 XGA TFT Liquid Screen, soft touch keyboard, 56.6 V90 Fax modem, Internet ready, Network ready, long life battery pack, 1 year parts and labor. My Cost with tax $1050.00. Order # 7813. epcparts refused to take a debit card but assured me that they were on the up and up and I could give them a check over the phone. Against my better judgement(why I don't know now) I gave them a check over the one and was promised a delivery in 10 days.

10 days later I called as I had not received my computer and was given an apology; at 14 days I recieved a call that there was a delay in parts and offered a free 2 year warranty. By Thanksgiving I had not received my laptop and kept calling customer service, who assured me my computer would be shipped. By Christmas I had not recieved the laptop and was told in was being shipped and would arrive my 1-4-04. On 1-5-04 I requested by phone and in writing a refund. I was told I would receive a refund in 30 days. On 2-05-04 I had not recieved a refund and was told by phone that I had not requested a refund. I resend a request for a refund and again was told I would receive a refund in 30 days. On 3-05-04 still no refund so I sent a letter requesting refund in 14 business days or I would go to small claims court. Here it is 4-05-04 and still not refund.

I have called, send e-mails at least 2 to 3 times a week since October 03 and all I get is a automated responses from their systems, leave a message on voice mail and an occasional customer service person. This what I know: Company phone number 1.888.399.3744. The president is named Damon Jordan his extension is 889,
head of customer service James Beamon his extension is 305. Charles seemes to be the man who always answers the customer service phone. E-mails accounting2@epcparts.com, inquire@epcparts.com
