My wife and I went to a HOME Business Seminar in October 2001 in Overland Park, KS. The presenters from Professional Mentoring Group & HOME gave us much hope in building an internet business from home to make an extra stream of income. This Seminar was sponsored by HOME and Professional Mentoring Group. We should have had our Pre-Paid Legal Services Attorney review this document before we signed their contract, but their sales men were very adament that we only had today to make up our minds and get this started.

Well since October 2001 we have been making payments for our Merchants Account to ePenzio through their affiliate Fair Financial at $89.95 per month. USight never helped us get our website up and running... so we have no reason to use their merchant account. I have called ePenzio over 6 times in the last year, and have never been given a straight answer. The people who have promised to work with me, are no longer working with the company or are not in when I call back.

Today I did some searching on the Internet and found the Rip OFF Report... and found some very interesting info about ePenzio and their affiliates. I contacted the Utah Consumer Protection Dept. of the Dept of Commerce, and I am filing a formal complaint.
I'm also signing an stop payment with my bank account so that Fair Finanacial can no longer debit my checking acct. while providing us with no service. I am going to ask my Pre-Paid Legal Services Attorney to review this situation and advise me on how to get all my money back for their fraudulent practices.

If anyone else there has been ripped off by ePenzio, HOME, or Fair Financial, please don't just sit there. File an official complaint with the Utah Commerce Dept. as the lady from Wichita, KS advised. I spoke with their lead attorney today, and he said the hearing was held in March, and the court should be handing down a ruling soon. They will procede after that court ruling is handed out. He felt our problems have been systematic of how this company does business.

If you get an invitation to one of these Seminars by HOME, Professional Mentoring Group... tear it up and save your time and money... I wish I had.

More steps after filing complaint with UT Consumer Protection

AUTHOR: Russ - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 09, 2003

Hi Randall,

I just read your story about ripping off by Epenzio Home and Fair Financial. It looks like Epenzio is using several financial companies to handle the financing with its victims like us. Epenzio worked with Monterey Financial when I and other victims in St. Louis attended their seminars (the first one was intro and second was workshop for us who signed up).

Not sure how Fair Financial has treated you so far, but Monterey Financial has really threatened to ruin my credit because they aren't able to make me pay yet. They already did that because I saw it on my credit report. I have no choice with them now since they are really a pain in my a**. I will pursue this and make them wish that they would never meet me before because I'm tired of their attitude.

I already sent the complaint form with all junk documents from Bring It Home, Epenzio, Bridgeview Bank, and threatened letters from Monterey to Al Pauga last Saturday. I'll call him again today to ask if I need to do the same thing with Consumer Protection division/Attorney General office in CA since Monterey was located in Carlsbad, CA. Not sure where this sucker Monterey is located now. The last time I received a call from a lady call ms. Green (I think it was on 5/30/03). I got a message because I wasn't at home. She said that I needed to call her back regarding a legal matter and I had no idea at all. I did call back and found out that this was about Monterey. I hanged up because there is no point to talk to them since they know they are wrong but they keep forcing with very rude attitude to make me pay their junk. BTW I had talked to several Monterey personnels and told them that their company is doing fraud business, and asked them to check ripoff web site. Because if it doesn't, how come there are so many people get into the same problem with similar or exact stories? I felt from the way they talked after that were a bit diferent but they still insisted I have to pay. So I concluded there is no use anymore to talk to them again and again since their brains are placed in their bu**, not in their head.

What result did you get from talking to your pre-paid legal services attorney and to the lead attorney of the lady from Wichita KS?

Not sure how all of us who have been ripped off by these companies can come together and take them down, because these ripoffs have happened in all states, I think.

Any suggestions Ed? (FYI, he is the guy who manages & created this website)
