We quoted $1,399 for this floor, we always include tax on material only and always mention this when providing a quote, although in this case the gentlemen said we never mentioned it, so I decided to waive the $74.50.  Unfortunately my crew receiving the check deposited it in the business account with out my knowledge. I was informed by this customer late last week that the check was deposited, I informed him that we would get a refund for the $74.50 out to him. This went out in the mail late Tuesday this week.  This guy keeps calling about the $74.50, if I had known it was critical that he gets the $74.50 immediately, I would have fedex'd it. Now, he did ask for a bill of materials, but since I was waiving the tax, I felt it unnecessary to provide it, although in hindsight, I should have presented that to him and kept the tax. I never said the cost of the material is $400, I said that's what it would probablly cost if he did it himself using the Home Depot version - rustoleum. In fact, this customers 2-car garage had extra large stem walls that are at least double the size of a standard garage, costing us an additional $120 in material.Here's a break down of the cost: naps, brushes, rollers, pans, tape = $75, concrete primer = $75, 100% Solid Epoxy Coating (3) kits = $360, normally only use 2 kits but had to use more due to the huge stemwalls, $350 for (2) kits of Polurea top coat = $860 total cost for material. Not a rip off, in fact my competition charges several hundred more to do this job, the floor is perfect, in fact his painter that was there when we finished was blown away with our job. Relax, your $74.50 should be in the mail today or tomorrow, can you please stop leaving me messages - geez.  Thanks, Mike, btw we've done over 800 jobs in SD since 2002, first report on ripoffreport.com.
