Epson Steals Ink!
4 Dirty Secrets of Epson Inkjet Printers Uncovered.

Epson uses 4 Methods to Steal Ink from your Printer:
Tested on Epson C92 and C67 printers.

1) There is a Chip in each Ink cartridge programmed to report Low Ink Levels no matter what, it always report Wrong Ink Levels, if you open an ink cartdridge reported as "empty" you will be amazed to find that it still contains 1/2 ink. In a few words Epson steals Half of your precious Ink.

2) Hides Wasted Ink in a secret Ink Deposit at the printer's bottom.
During the bogus "Injector Cleaning" operation what it really does is to Waste as Much Ink as Possible and Hide it at the bottom of the printer, it is absorbed by a sponge mostly until it gets saturated with all the wasted ink. The Result of this is that your ink carts loose ink prematurely, you will get Low Ink Levels sooner than expected.

3) There is a Secret Counter of printing jobs, it comes with a Limit set at factory, when the printer counter reaches a preset number the printer all of a sudden Stops Working, it is now known they call it the "Printer's Suicide" technique. Your printer might still be perfectly capable of printing hundreds more pages but the Secret Counter stops it with no real reason whatsoever. It is also known that some HP printers use this method too.

4) It won't let you print using Only Black Ink, it will Force you to Buy Color Cartridges even if you don't need them. There is a Lock inside the printer, it is programmed to Stop you from printing using only black ink. You will end up Buying several expensive Color Cartridges just to be able to print plain text with Black Ink. Rats!

Fight Back Against Epson's Thievery!

AUTHOR: Motofabio - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, June 23, 2008

I experienced this over the weekend. I was printing only red and yellow, yet my light magenta and LIGHT CYAN tank magically went empty. Light magenta, OK. Light cyan - I don't think so!! Frustrated because I needed to continue printing, I replaced my cartridges with a new ones. I can shake the "empty" ink tanks and feel & hear they are about half full. Thieves!

After about 5 more prints, I noticed my BLACK went from half full to one quarter full - I wasn't printing anything near black. Of course, we used to be able to pull the cartridge out and pop it back in (and even refill it if you were brave), but Epson has stopped that by chipping the cartridges. This isn't even a scam because Epson isnt' fooling anyone, it's in your face theft; a form of embezzlement.

So I did a little research and found a chip reset tool on (where else?) eBay. For less than $8 including shipping, I will be able to reset the counter on their chip and actually use the link cartridge until it is empty. Search for "epson chip resetter". Sesarch YouTube as well for a bunch of videos on this issue.

Now we just have to figure out how to get the ink out of all of those internal pockets and compartments.

Class Action Lawsuit???

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 20, 2008

This would make a pretty good class action lawsuit IF you have PROOF of your accusations.

I have heard these rumors before, but they were directed towards HP printers.

I'm glad I have a Lexmark Z65P. I can print even when the color ink cartridge is REMOVED.
