Epson Restricts consumers from using competitively priced ink cartridges. There are no advance warning that you must use only their ink. Will not allow you to print even when some ink remains in the cartridges, Their ink is one of the most expensive in the market. Nationwide

    DO NOT PURCHASE AN EPSON PRINTER

Epson Printer Company manufacture printers and sell them at a discount in order to force you to buy their very expensive ink.  Epson control the printer to prevent you from using less expensive ink from their competitive retailer. 

There is no warning that informs you that they install significant controls to prevent you from using a competitively priced product.

I took this time to help prevent people from making the same mistake that I did.

Although is is possible to circumvent their controls, it takes significant time and you may have to repeat the procedure frequently. 

Had I know this prior to purchasing the Epson printer (WF - 3540), I would have stuck to my HP Printer.
