EQ NY Waste of time interview....be aware! Manhattan, New York

Similar situation with the previous poster.
Went on interview on 7/31/12 with a second interview to follow today 8/1/12.
Was told that I was to "shadow" the two staff member "managers" from their office in Philly.
We started at 10:30am and was told to wear comfortable shoes and that we'd be doing some walking, yet nobody told me or the other applicant where we were going and what we were going to do upon getting to our destination.

From Times Square, we all got on the 2 train and wound up at 135th street in Harlem.! Had I known where we were going and what we'd be doing I would have just stayed home. I kept asking where were we going and what we had to do upon arrival with no avail. Since both "managers" were from Philly and I am not familiar with anything past 96th street I had no idea where we were.It was hot, unfamiliar and just plain odd for me and i've seen and heard it all. i felt very uncomfortable to just wander around Harlem and watch these "managers" do their thing which struck me as odd.They had a map with a "Territory" that we had to walk around i'd assume to sell this "product" (which was a restaurant.com gift card for 50.00) I don't know if we had to go door-to-door or a restaurant or another business office because nobody told me EXACTLY what we had to do. Since I had a bad feeling I decided to leave at 11 am (only 90 minutes in) to go home and forget this miserable day. 

I still can't say what this business does because everything was so vague. I figured the second interview would give insight and since I am looking for work i figured id give it a shot. I wasn't too keen with scouring all different neighborhoods to sell gift cards, I  can work a retail job if need be.
