When I received my credit report in the mail, I tried to dispute it online, but since I am supporting the US MIlitary war on terrorism by working and living overseas, my FPO address is not allowed an online dispute. I then procedded to dispute it through the mail, as even if the government would allow calls from here, it would be cost prohibitive. I have heard nothing from them. Here are the two most recent letters I sent out, we'll see if it helps. Probably won't, because they do not like to support the people that are providing their freedoms.

Sir or Ma'am;

Enclosed is my original letter of 20 May 2005. Since no one has bothered to contact me about the Extra Wal-Mart Account on my Credit report, I have no choice but to let the media know that Equifax does not care about Americans that are protecting them from the terrorists. Since I did not receive any information I am assuming that either you did not research the Wal-Mart account, or that they claimed it was true, when in fact it is not true. How much did Wal-Mart pay you under the table to lie on my credit report?

Montana Attorney General;
I am a U. S. Air Force retired Staff Sergeant
From Great Falls, Montana. I am living and working
overseas, supporting the Armed Forces on their War on
terrorism. I got my free Credit report from Equifax
earlier this year and had a dispute on it. Because I
have an FPO address I cannot dispute it online. I
mailed them the enclosed letters and dispute form.
However, as indicated in today's letter to them, it
seems they have done nothing on this incorrect Credit
for Wal-Mart. Is there anything you can do for me?
Thanks for your assistance.

A Executive Customer Service person named Celstina Spencer said

Well it is what it is? What the Heck type of responce from these people.

They have caused me personal stress making my health worse

That's Slander Then when I try to complain to human resources Barbara the must be only.operater for the Corporate Office will never let you talk to whom you want go you can complain and They can Do what they want. I feed up. Filing a Civil action against them personally is the way Im going

The Attorney and Richard Scott CEO had a letter about my concerns never answered.

My.life is being effective. My health . So I'm fighting.

I want everyone to look at Equifax Board members look at how much money they name Also I do not give my.credit information to people.in a forgien Country.

To the Active Duty Person Sue the hell.out of them when you get home. They have Violated your rights. There is Know reason not to be able to dispute your file. My Ex husband had a Forgien address

Place a personal suit. Subpenoa them to court. If we all do this maybe they will stop ruining our lifes

I also called Fair Isaac that was interesting. Mr Landing is the CEO Subpoena him as a Witness He has to come. Look up the registered agent .

A few years ago when I turned 18 ( i'm 21 now) i got a credit report for student loans and thigs like that turns out there was a judgement against me and 5 addresses that wern't mine on therei contacted equifax and they said all of that was right. the confirmed not only that my credit ( which is in the 400's i think) would never get better for 7 years but that the people who had this judgement against me had sent the judgement to their own address...which i had never evne known these people let alone lived with them... so i disputed it and am still disputing it to this day. my only major question is why do we need a credit agency in the first place?

ANY help out there on this?

AUTHOR: P - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, April 23, 2006

We can't be the only one's with EQUIFAX problems!

My questions are simple; Is there ANY thing that can be done? and In this life time? How do you fight EQUIFAX? Who supports them? Who owns this Company? WHO ARE THESE people?

You can't get a 'real' human on the phone and everything takes FOREVER except them when it comes to throwing something negative on your report REGARDLESS if it is true or not.

Do they EVER check ANY thing out?

I did file a complaint with the BBB in Atlanta, not that I expect anything to come out of that but atleast I could throw a negative their way, AND I can BACK mine up. But I'm just alittle consumer that they apparently are totally oblivious to us...sigh

Frustrated!

I have been fighting these clowns for months now on incorrect information on my report.
While Experian and TransUnion have responded and even correct some of the errors I have not heard one single word from Equifax. I think it's Class Action time for these guys.

Equifax lack of concern

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 22, 2005

I have been having the same problems with them. I have been disputing an account that is showing up on my CR for 3 months now.
Equifax has failed to follow the FCRA and I have sent them documentation showing their failure.
The OC information they present on my credit report is wrong ( business closed 4 yrs ago).
Equifax is unable to provide me with correct contact information on the OC and refuses to tell me who in the world keeps verifying the dispute. They claim they dont know who is.
To top it off, equifax is required by law to mark accounts in dispute and never has.
Last dispute I did on the account, it only took them 24 hrs to kick out another "verified" report.
Equifax needs another class action against them to keep them in line.

They have control and it stinks

AUTHOR: Sherrie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 21, 2005

I also look forward to the day when I don't need any dealings with these three agency's.

The most important thing to learn is.....you CAN'T win with them. Either you have too much credit and that brings your score down or you don't have enough credit and that brings your score down.

My husband and I have been jumping through hoops for years trying to build a great score and cannot manage to get above 689 which is only fair, and we pay our bills.

If you ever get a chance, go to daveramsey.com and listen to what he has to say about these "idiots in cubicles".

We have finally decided to give it up, we are gonna live and pay our bills and not worry about it.

Good luck fighting the creeps.

File A Complaint Against Equifax

AUTHOR: Susan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 14, 2005

File complaints against all three credit reporting agencies here. The Federal Trade Commission web site is:

http://www.ftc.gov/credit/

1-877-382-4357

Keep in mind that TransUnion lost a 5 million dollar law suit for failing to handle consumer records properly. If the credit reporting agencies refuse to remove adverse information from your report, and you suffer damages from this, you may have yourself a good lawsuit that a lawyer would handle on a contingency basis.

Equifax Is The Worst!!

AUTHOR: Susan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 13, 2005

I have spent four months trying to clear up problems on my credit reports with all three credit reporting agencies. Equifax is the worst of the three! If they are not forcing you to talk with 'Gupta the snake charmer' somewhere in the third world (with an accent you could cut with a knife), you get an American with the intelligence level of a McDonald's fry cook. I have gotten six "updated" credit reports from them in the last several weeks, and none of them is correct. Now they are refusing to let me dispute a new incorrect address they just added, or tell me which, if any creditor is reporting this information. I'm guessing the mistake is the result of some idiot customer service rep paying little or no attention to detail, rather than a creditor reporting some new hybrid address! I filed a complaint against them with the Federal Trade Commission which oversees these agencies. The telephone number of the FTC is 1-877-382-4357. I also sent letters to Mr. Richard Smith, the Chairman & CEO -Elect of Equifax, Mr. Thomas Chapin Chairman & CEO, and Mr. Donald T. Heroman, Vice President & CFO. The address is:

Equifax, Inc.
1550 Peachtree St.
Atlanta, Ga. 30309

Hopefully this will light a fire under that bunch of brain dead asses charged with handling our most personal and critical information!

I simply wish you good luck on this....

AUTHOR: Julie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 23, 2005

I hate credit reports. I dream of the day I don't have to rely on my score for any reason. I feel for you on this one. I had a very large visa show up on my credit report (Equifax being one of them). I got the report from my mortgage company who ran a tri-merge. I tried to dispute this Visa (since I knew it wasn't mine and had no clue whose it was) online. They needed a report number, so I entered my report number. Lo and behold, that isn't the right number (b/c it wasn't purchased from Equifax, it was purchased from the tri-merge company, I was unable to dispute. I tried to call Equifax, guess what, you can only dispute online (requiring that pesky report number).

So, I purchase a report from Equifax. It has no report number, so after paying $9.95 for this stupid report, I still can't dispute. SO, I send them an email on their contact us page asking for my report number. Their reply, you don't get a report number, your credit file is handled by "THIS PARTY". (This has been awhile, so I don't have all of the details handy).

To this day I have been unable to dispute the account. This infuriates me. I paid them for nothing. And this visa account messes up my debt/credit ratios b/c whoever it belongs to owes $12K.

I look closer at the tri-merge report and the creditor's phone number is on there and it has the first 12 digits of the account. The Equifax report has the last 4 digits of the account (hey that might have come in useful, dang). I call the creditor, give them the account info, turns out it is my dad who has used my social and added me as a user on his VISA. I haven't talked to him in years, so he did so without my consent or knowledge. I asked them to remove it from all three credit reporting agencies, they said they couldn't unless they cancelled my card. Well hey, since I didn't even have this card, I told them cancel away.

This took a few weeks, and it is irritating. It is such a shame they control our lives like this!

"America Supports You"?

AUTHOR: Richard - (BIOT)

POSTED: Thursday, June 23, 2005

To top off all the stuff in my original report, I see on the Armed Forces Network an "Information spot" that says "America supports you" and tells us how all the companies in America appreciate what we are doing. Well, if they are going to ripoff military people, and civilians supporting the military to show their "appreciation", I would rather not be appreciated.
