I am of course talking about our scorekeepers who determine your Mortgage payment or any borrowed payment, late or not Equifax, Experian, and Trans-Union. What Happened to TRW?. Does anyone remember getting a "TRW done" so they could buy a Car?

Well guess what, There are brokers who will deliver your credit to a lender by saying that they can get it cheaper than if you were to do it yourself. I really don't understand how or why they can but the information they is old and normally outdated and most consumers are unaware of this problem.

I began to see this when I was trying to refinance my home. Each lender used a Broker for there big three reports. The name are like these, Factual Data, or Chase credit research. I have found them to be off as much as two years and the data of course is also corroupt. Why and how

They say they are cheaper and they might be because nobody makes them update thier files to match what the Big Three reports. They are hidden, hard to see scum of the Earth get rich quick little twerps using a Computer to do what the Lenders should do anyways.

Well, guess what? It's time to go after these cheap pennies and make them accoutable for tossing out old and misleading data.

I am surprised that this is even legal if it even is. When I authorized Bank of America to do a Credit Check, I never said they could use a Broker or Credit one. So they could save on the money that they charge in the loan. Lets see here, I believe they charge us 200 for a credit fee that cost them 10 bucks and you get what you pay for.........old data mixed in with new data.

Heres what you must do. When you authorize anyone to search your credit file, make sure that they go right to the source themselves PERIOD.

I am stormin mad Just like Ocwen Bank Mad and they are hard to beat. So stop these little middle men from accesing your Credit files. You see, these guys are probably crooks and just want to see your data so they do it Cheaper. Look at the phone calls you get, Look at the idenity theft problem. These lenders need to take resposibility for leaking information that was private or so we thought. Next time you have your credit pulled ask whos is doing it and make sure that there is no middleman

I am not going off in the deep, Steve if I may. I simply don't understand why any lender needs a middleman to do their work?
I also know that these credit middleman do not update and can't for the reason I said. These companies are not disputable are they?
I never received or signed a "Blanket" authorization form from anyone.

My main thing is this Steve, I am averge Joe who was unaware of this activity and now I am and I personally thinks it's wrong because the information is different than the actual CRA's.
I might even be willing to accept this but I was never told this upfront. There are disclosure laws that these people must go by and they may not discriminate for any reason. Understood

Robert,

Robert, first of all, I am not defending anyone. I'm just telling you that nothing illegal is going on here. You have the right to dispute anything that is wrong on your credit report and get it fixed or removed. This is all spelled out in the FCRA.

Now, when you authorized the bank to check your credit, that authorization was a blanket authorization for them to get it from any or all sources. Did you specifically give them authorization to pull only from Experian? Well, if not they did nothing at all wrong.

You are going off the deep end here over absolutely nothing. Furthermore, anyone you do business with or attempt to do business with including an employer, debt collector, attorney, etc. can pull your credit without your specific authorization. It is called "permissible purpose".

They don't need your permission. That's the law.

You listen to me and you already pissed me off when all I was doing is exposing some loser business's. Why does any Credit Lender use any one except for the true source? Do you think that a database is uplinked into the major three credit bureaus and able to provide acurate and true information. Of course not, that would be illegall. I not sure if what they do now is but I can assure you this I am checking now.
I most assuredly never authorized Bank of America that they could use any outside source to supply them with my credit portfolio

I looking at a credit profile preformed by the Funding Suite on Aug 19th 2006 and the one I pulled on the 31 of August directly from Equifax.
Every single credit issue I have is inaccurate as reported by The funding suite. Now why do you suppose that is? A little error! How about they are unable to get the correct data because only I am authorized to retrieve it as well as the lenders I say may view my report not anyone else.

The business that these companies are doing is illegal and I firmly believe that. They also have a big view into my credit file and anyone else they do business with does and down the road.

They are a unnecessary business going into our credit file and I personally don't want anyone else with there fat faces looking at my files. If you believe that this is totally OK when the Banks can go right to the source without any help from a outsider, well then you should go and start your own Credit Middleman reporting agency. Then we can bust you too. Catch my drift, I am pissed off and don't like anyone defending somthing that is wrong. What is happening is WRONG!

An answer for Robert...TRW is now Experian...Has been for MANY years!!

Robert,

The data that resellers get from the big 3 is directly from the database and merged into thiers on thier format. The format changes, but the data is the same in most cases. All of the small agencies get data from the big 3.

However, here is the problem. The smaller agencies are usually regional, so if you have moved alot, credit you have outside that region they service may not be on the report, as all creditors do not report to all agencies.

Under the FCRA you have the right to a complete and accurate credit file. There are penalties for non-compliance. You can sue under FTC guidlines.

The reports BofA pulls has nothing to do with money. They pull a merged report of the big 3 for $7 or less. Credit report fees are based on volume. And, you authorized them to get consumer reports from any source.

You really should learn how credit reporting really works. I was in the mortgage business for a few years and learned the ins and outs of credit real fast. And I have lived all over the country and have files from most of the smaller agencies. Thier info comes directly from the big 3, and they are NOT cheaper.

Robert, there is nothing preventing you from opening your own credit reporting agency! Go ahead and do it if you think it is so easy or cheap to do!
